Bonnie Bell

Bonnie, an apostle, not taught by man, but by the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ. John 7: 18-19 tells us those who speak about themselves seek their own glory, Hence instead of talking about myself and what job I have, or what trials I have gone through, it is my goal you understand Scripture. We will examine godly men of the Bible like David, Lot, Moses, and Abraham. As it is indisputably know that these were men of God. And the things that happened to them are to be used as an example and are written for our admonition, 1Corinthians 10:11.

W HEN YOU READ GENESIS, at first, it seems like Adam and Eve were the only two people God created. Yet, upon additional study you’ll find there were other people create d too.

IT’S HIDDEN BUT, SCRIPTURE explains when God created the human race everyone was called Adam which translated from Hebrew means human being, Genesis 5:2.

We know God has always had those whom He chose, meaning those whom He elected. If it was Abraham, Mosses, or the Jews; God always had his elect. Even in these last days, Christ said many would be called, yet few would be chosen, Mathew 22:14.

And by understanding God has always had those whom He elected; thereby when the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; there He put the man whom he had formed, Genesis 2:8. So in other words, out of all the human beings (Adams) God created He chose one Adam and placed him in the Garden of Eden.

Once God placed the man into the Garden of Eden, it was his job to dress it and to keep it. He told the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden thou may eat. But of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, you shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eats thereof you shall surely die", Genesis 2:15-17.

Sometime later while Adam and Eve were residing in the Garden of Eden a serpent approached Eve and convinced her she wouldn’t die; if she would just eat some of the fruit from the tree of knowledge, Genesis 3:4. So by not believing a simple little thing the Lord instructed, she decided to believe the serpent. Hence she ate the fruit, and also gave some of the fruit to Adam.

All of this has to do with a free will. If Adam and Eve had loved the Lord, would they have given heed to the serpent? As you can choose to believe or not to believe what the Lord has instructed. But if you love him and know he isn’t a liar, wouldn’t you believe him?

But instead Adam and Eve chose to do what was right in their own eyes, and believed the serpent who said they wouldn’t die, rather than what the Lord warned.

So as the Lord God warned, when He saw what they had done, He removed the Tree of Life. Adam and Eve not having this fruit available eventually died, Genesis 3:22. But because a thousand years, to God, is like one day, Adam died when he was 930 years old, 2Peter 3:8; Genesis 5:5. So in God’s time and in the same day Adam ate of the fruit, he died.

Prior to Adam and Eve dying they had two sons. We don’t know how all of the circumstances unfolded. Yet, it is revealed Cain was jealous of Able, and he killed his brother Able, Genesis 4.

After Cain killed his brother, the Lord appeared unto Cain and asked him what he had done. Of course, the Lord was aware Cain had killed his brother. And when the Lord passed judgment upon Cain, He told Cain he would be cast out of his presence, and sent out of the Garden of Eden, Genesis 4.

Upon which time, Cain was fearful for his life as he knew those outside of the Garden of Eden wanted to kill him. And the reason Cain was fearful, was because Adam’s family, when chosen, was put in the garden to dress it and to keep it, Genesis 2:15. Which meant, Adam’s family were the garden’s caretakers, and they apparently provided the fruit of the garden to all. However, once Adam disobeyed the Lord and the tree of life was removed, it caused those outside of the Garden of Eden to die too; and they obviously blamed the first family for their demise. Cain knowing this, realized if he was cast out of the Garden, and if they recognized him, they would want to kill him.

Therefore Cain, pleading for his life, told the Lord if he were cast out of the Lord’s presence, the people of the nation would want to kill him. Judgment belongs to the Lord God, and He granted Cain’s life to be prolonged. And because God is good as He even shines the sun, on those who are evil. Thereby, the Lord disguised Cain in a way that people would not recognize him, Mathew 7:1-3, Psalms 7:8, Mathew 5:45, and Genesis 4:15.

Leaving the presence of the Lord, Cain traveled to a place called Nod, and this is where he met his wife, Genesis 4.

How far Cain had to travel to get to Nod is unclear, but I doubt it was too far, perhaps only a day’s journey. People generally lived in the same area where they had been created. I’m not sure if they had any mode of transportation but I suspect they may have used horses or mules. Yet generally speaking we know all human life was located on one continent.

It is debatable, what animals’ lived on the same continent as men. We know when Adam named the animals, they were brought to him by the Lord Genesis 2:19. And I have to presume the larger or fiercer beasts were relocated to another continent after Adam named them.

A map of the known world may have looked like just one continent. They probably were not aware of any other continents. Nor did they have knowledge of Africa where other larger animals lived in that day.

Ultimately when mankind began to populate the continent they inhabited. The Garden of Eden eventually faded into a dim memory.

Scripture informs us God was sorry he even created human beings, because during those days the sons of God took advantage and lusted after the daughters of men.

And to understand what this means we know in the Old Testament when God elected an individual, and this person had a child they were born into the fold of God, and considered a son of God. A good example of this, is when the Lord chose Israel. Hence the ancestors of Adam and Eve were considered the sons of God. Whereas, the children born outside of the Garden of Eden were considered the children of men.

So apparently after the Garden of Eden faded into a distant memory, the descendants of Adam and Eve lusted after those born outside of the garden.

God gave Adam one wife, and apparently the offspring’s of Adam and Eve slept around and took as many wives as they wanted. So when God saw the wickedness of man was great in the earth. The Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh. And it repented the Lord that he had
