Forbes’ Complete Book of Bible Riddles
()
About this ebook
It covers a wide variety of topics in a simple, unique style that will maintain the interest of everyone. You will be taken on an exciting adventure that ripples through Bible characters, places, events, joys, and sorrows from Genesis to Revelation. You will be entertained and challenged as familiar old stories come alive and seem just as current as todays headlines.
It is not the authors objective to write a tell-all book. Many details have been omitted, particularly in the stories, for the sake of brevity and interest and so that you, the reader, will search the Bible for yourself.
If you are knowledgeable about the scriptures, you will find the riddles a lot of fun. Otherwise, you will learn. There are twenty-six sets of them in this volume and another twenty-six planned for Bible Riddles, Poems, and Stories: Volume 2 to be released soon. These are ideal for youth groups, Sabbath school, Sunday school, or even just to spend quality time with your Bible.
Reginald E. Forbes
Reginald E. Forbes is a native of the island of Nassau, in The Bahamas. He is a music teacher by profession who tries to utilize all of his many talents to the glory of God. He enjoys playing the piano at church, dramatizing stories at Sabbath/Sunday School, writing riddles and poems, and most of all, sharing the love of Jesus with others. A graduate of Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, he treasures the twenty-one (21) years he spent teaching in South Andros (another island in The Bahamas), and serving at Kemps Bay Seventh Day Adventist Church in various capacities including Elder and musician. It was there that he began writing Bible Riddles for the weekly youth hour, a tradition he continued at the Berea S.D.A. Church where he presently worships. Presently, Mr. Forbes is employed as a Music Educator at the Bahamas Academy of Seventh Day Adventists, a position he uses not only to share his musical abilities, but also to share his love of Christ and poetry. His passion for both of these has driven him to visit many churches of various denominations, particularly at youth hour. He has voluntarily worked with various youth, civic and government organizations, including The Aids Secretariat and The National Drug Council, places where he feels he has gained invaluable experience in working with others. His goals are to continue to use his talents in sharing Christ with others, and to direct young people back to the Bible, and to God.

Answers To Bible Riddles
Introduction
A few years ago, I asked some ten-year-olds what was the name of the man in the Bible who was swallowed by the big fish. I was surprised that they did not know. Even when I told them the answer, they seemed to know nothing about the prophet Jonah. So I went home and asked my son the same question. He was six at the time.
Jonah,
he promptly said, and added, Duh.
(That’s an expression that young people use meaning, Why are you asking me such an easy question?
)
While I was proud of his answer, it amazed me even more that the ten-year-olds did not know the answer to a Bible question that my six-year-old thought was too easy for me to be asking him.
I pondered this dilemma for a few days then began asking God to give me something that I could use to point young people back to the Bible. When I was a child, learning about Jonah, Daniel, Joseph, Moses and the other Bible characters was fun. I wanted young people to have as much fun talking about these individuals as I did many years before. I believe that Bible Riddles, Poems And Stories Volume 1 (2012) was the beginning of the answer to my prayer.
Realizing that there was so much that needed to be done, I ploughed ahead with Bible Riddles, Poems And Stories Volume 2 (2017). My aim was to help young people to have fun with God’s Word, but I found myself having so much fun writing these things that I did not want to stop. To date, by the grace of God, I have written about 620 Riddles, 23 Bible Poems, 20 Bible Stories and 22 Bible Songs. The Bible Songs quote the Scriptures almost verbatim and are soon to be published. Using these songs is definitely a fun way to learn Bible verses. Not only is it fun but it is easy and quick.
Let me hasten to say that the Bible cannot save anyone. Learning the entire Bible will not save anyone. Salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ, but first one has to meet Him and know about Him. By beholding, we become changed (2Corinthians 3:18).
This book is a compilation of all the riddles from the aforementioned books plus an additional eighty riddles, making a total of six hundred Bible Riddles, systematically divided into groups of tens. It is certainly my prayer that you have as much fun reading this book as I had writing it, and that your joy may be full (1John 1:4).
image001.jpgPrayer For This Book
Father, when our first parents sinned,
They thought that all was lost.
They knew that they deserved to die
But could not pay the cost.
A judgement sentence was pronounced
On all of us that day.
Yes; we inherited a debt
That none of us could pay,
But, Lord, You paid it all for us
Through Jesus Christ, Your Son;
And that’s good news, not just for some,
But it’s for everyone.
Now Lord, I’m sure it is Your will
That all the world should know;
So bless this book as I attempt
To tell my readers so…
May they be led to search the Holy
Bible through and through,
And in their searching, come to find
Fulfillment, Lord, in You.
Amen.

To Jehovah God he prayed.
