About this ebook

Watching the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) many years ago, when the author heard that a born-again Christian committed suicide. The Lord said to her to go tell His people in a particular church what she went through. To tell them her personal encounter with the kingdom of darkness and how she overcame through the power invested in the name of Jesus Christ. Suicides and murder are influenced by the same force of darkness which God has given us the power through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to overcome.

This book is an account of what she shared with Gods people in that church. God did not keep His people here to live under the dictates of the evil one. This is a powerful book of faith and love for God.

Though life can be difficult, God carries us through if we believe and trust in Him.

    DEDICATION

My prayer is that anyone who reads this book may run with it. I dedicate this book in honor to Mrs. E.E Azeh, who obeying and following the Great Commission of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, walked straight to where I lived and invited me to a church. It all started in January of 1985.

I recommend this book especially to those that are already in the family of God. To Christian believers, born-again and Spirit filled, blood bought children of God. To those who think that coming to the Lord Jesus, giving their lives to Christ means all attacks from the devil are gone. Who think that the evil one has stopped throwing its darts (wiles). I say no. This is false. It is a mere illusion. As a military man who is fully armed can be killed in a war zone when he does not use his weapon: likewise a Christian born-again and Spirit filled can be killed by Satan. Can even be pushed into committing suicide, if that Christian man or woman refuses to use, or is ignorant of the use of his weapon of warfare. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 10:4-6

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

This is a fight in which you already know the outcome. You already know the result even before you start. The result is that you will win. You will overcome. You will conquer. For the Bible says in Romans 8:37

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.

You have to exercise your God given authority over the devil and his cohorts. Victory is certain. Victory is sure.

We are over comers. God has given us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Fight. The victory is already yours. Amen!

    INTRODUCTION

Sometime in 1992 I was watching the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN.) I heard that someone, a born-again Christian had committed suicide. As I sat there watching, knowing full well that a born-again Spirit filled Christian can be pushed by Satan to commit suicide. The Lord said to me, Go tell my people what you went through, how the devil tried to get you to leap from a three story building.

Initially I was not convinced it was the Lord asking me to, Go tell my people. For I was not a member of that church. I had just moved to the state and was trying to find a church to identify with. The Lord was asking me to go to one of the churches I visited to deliver the message. I wrestled with this for some days. I said to myself, I am not a member of that church. Nobody knows me there. How can I just go there and pick up the microphone and start talking?

Was it God or my mind speaking to me?

Not until Tuesday, after the Sunday that I was supposed to go and testify that the Lord spoke to me again at the work place and said, I sent you to go and deliver a message and you did not. I started weeping. Lord, I said, I did not know it was you. I thought it was my mind. The more I said, Lord I did not know it was you, the more tears came pouring out from my eyes. I was running from one corner to the other, trying to hide from coworkers, so that no one would notice I was weeping. If anyone saw me crying, how would I explain it? Tell them God was speaking to me? They wouldn’t believe that. It even sounds-I don’t know.

I ran to the wash basin and put some water on my face to hide the tears. But they rolled out all the more. Lord, I will go and do what you told me this Sunday. I said it twice over and the tears finally stopped. But think about it. The scripture in Mathew 4:1-10 is an account of Jesus temptation by the devil in the wilderness. The devil tempted Jesus Christ the son of God. Who are you that he cannot tempt you or try to kill you if he can?

That same Sunday I rushed back to that church and delivered the message. All glory to the Lord God Almighty. I did not succumb to all that the devil was bombarding me with asking, Who knows you in that church? As a matter of fact, once you touch that microphone, someone will come to snatch it away from you and tell you to get out. Every one claims they have heard from God. We do not do that here.

God Almighty in His infinite and wonderful way created an opportunity for me to testify. There and then I delivered the content of this book. It took long. No child cried, there was no movement at all. As I was speaking, if a pin fell on the floor you would have definitely heard the sound. Everyone was quiet except for one lady sitting far right at the back, who was saying, Alleluia! Alleluia! Amen! Amen!

As I stood in that church, at a point, I noticed that my lips were only moving and I was also listening to my own voice as well. I believe the Lord took over. It was so long that there was no formal preaching in that church that day. The testimony was so powerful. I was so convinced that Satan ran out of his domain screaming, This lady has killed him!

At the end an elderly woman got up, asking the congregation not to take lightly what was said. After which she shared her own similar experiences. This shows that the Lord our God whom we serve is one Lord. The offering was received and the pastor dismissed the congregation. It was powerful.

Immediately after I stepped out of that Church, I said to myself, I have done what God asked me to do. I have not gone back there. Eleven years later, I met that lady that was shouting, Alleluia! Amen! They refer to her as Sister Mary. I was with her for a long time. She asked me my name. I told her. And she said that, it rang a bell. Apart from that time, I have run into her two other times in a grocery store. Each time she would shake her head, sigh, and say, This name Edith, rings a bell.

I bluntly refused to tell her where she knew me. It was in her church 1992, the day I spoke. The reason I refused to tell her was because all the glory should go to the Lord God Almighty and not me. God should increase while I decrease. For without God, I am nothing. And without God, I can do nothing.
