Preface

This book is about my life experiences and how faith in God cause me to bounce back!

Ihad my first encounter with the Lord at the age of seven. I was walking down this road, and the voice of the Lord was over my head, and He asked, Do you want to preach my gospel? I said yes. This had taken place at night. The voice of the Lord told me, Whatever you do, don’t look back!

The next day I went to my grandmother’s house, and I began to preach, not understanding what was going on with me.

I felt something turning in my belly, and my grandmother told me, Son, that’s the Spirit of God you’re feeling.

At eight years old, I started trying to have church and I would preach to my sister Jeanie and her friend. She was about eleven years old at the time. She and her friend would dress up like grown folks and I would get my daddy’s chairs out of the kitchen for pews.

I would even see things happen to people before they would happen. At the age of nine, I began to backslide, and didn’t know what was happening to me. I had so-called friends coming to my house and started influencing me to steal.

I started stealing from stores (service stations) at the age of thirteen. I started drinking Mad Dog MD 20-20 and fighting when I would get drunk. I had older guys
