Duane Schaefer

I was born Dec. 5th 1961 in Bremerton Wa. I have lived in Los Angeles, Boston, Miami, and Germany for short periods of time, but always return to Seattle. I’ve raised 3 boys as a single father. Currently I live in the Tacoma area with my wonderful wife Linda. Duane and his wife Linda have spent the last four years teaching and studying marriage in their church Life Center, of Tacoma Washington. They have been trained through the member care lead pastor Gary Benton to coach couples on how to have a Christ Centered marriage. They have learned the tools and how to put them into daily practice forming a three strand marriage with Jesus Christ at the center. Through these tools they have built their love into deeper passion and intimacy that keeps them falling in love over and over. Their studies and teachings have included books such as, Love and Respect, The Five Love Languages, Boundaries in Marriage, Sacred Romance, The Marriage You Always Wanted. Their most recent teaching is the book What the Bible says About, Love, Marriage, and Sex by David Jeremiah. A walk through the book, Song of Songs, verse by verse, delving into the intimacy and romance that should be the foundation of all marriages.

Foreword…

Back in the 60’s there was a saying about sharing with others. Would you rather have a warm fuzzy or a cold prickly? What Duane has written will give you many warm fuzzies.

His writing is honest, spiritual, loving, graceful and very finely focused. He makes no bones about his feelings surrounding his wife, family and God.

In this work is a thankfulness for what he has experienced in life. The following thought by Dickens expresses much of what’s shared in this book of poetry.
