Living in the Glory: Abiding in His Presence
()
About this ebook
"Living in the Glory" is about growing from glory to glory as we face each circumstances and issue that comes our way. As each new day dawns, new trials and opportunities come for us to be challenged in areas where we need to grow up and become all God wants us to be. Our belief is that we are divinely directed by God in what manner and actions we take to respond to life’s issues. As humans aren’t perfect, we sometimes respond in our old, selfish nature, but sometimes we respond in our renewed spiritual understandings. Through it all, God’s glory is experienced in our lives.
Come take a glimpse into our lifestyle, and see how God leads us down the bumpy roads, clears our paths, and leads us down a straight and narrow trajectory. We hope you will be encouraged and empowered to live out the scriptures according to the plans and purposes God has called you towards. As we continue to do our best to live in the glory, we continue listening for more directions from the throne room of God to guide us and help us continue to abide in His presence.

Dedication
We dedicate this book to our children, who were a big part of our training ground. Their lives and their growing years gave us the inspiration to rely on the Holy Spirit for divine direction on how to live out this life on Earth. It has been a journey of tremendous learning and growing; however, we have not yet arrived. In many ways, we are still in the beginning stages of this life in the glory.
Thank you so much Anita, Isis, and Jimmie Jr.
Endorsements
Jimmie and Hattie have written a joint autobiography that reveals how the hand of God has directed their lives in service to Him and others. In these pages, you will see how God uniquely brings two of his children together in marriage and then multiplies their ministry as a team. Their obedience and passion for the things of the Lord will inspire without question. In this very warm and
down-to-earth retelling of Jimmie and Hattie Booker’s spiritual journey, you are sure to glean practical principles for your own spiritual growth. Along the way, you’ll catch some glimpses of their courtship and how God brought them together as a spiritual powerhouse duo.
—Dr. Randy Colver,
5-Fold Teacher
I have known Jimmie and Hattie for several years now and have had the opportunity to see them minister as an Apostolic and Prophetic Team. They demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ, and they minister the Father’s Heart of love to everyone they meet. In their book, you will discover their life stories that will give you much insight and understanding about how God’s plans and purposes happen in our lives. It’s amazing how God could take two unique individuals from varied diverse family backgrounds in the Deep South of America and yet somehow get them to Southern California, where they would eventually meet and begin their life's journey together! As you read, you will be inspired by the working of the Holy Spirit through their lives that will help you to continue moving forward towards your future, by faith in God!

Before endorsing a book, I feel it is most important to endorse the author(s). If they are not who they appear to be, the book will not be as effective as it promises. Jimmie and Hattie Booker are exactly who they appear to be, and more. As a pastor, I meet many people, all declaring their love and dedication to the Lord. Most of the time, their commitment never exceeds their comfort levels. This is not true of the Bookers. Their love and commitment both to each other and to the Lord is sacrificial and constant. They are the
real deal," a man and woman committed to God’s kingdom first, and to each other until death. Simply stated, they are one of the most unique and Godly couples I have ever had the pleasure to pastor.
Living in the Glory was birthed out of the incredible journey of two people in love with God. You will be captivated by their story. It is simple in its presentation, yet deep in its revelation. I believe you will be able to relate on many different levels, and you will be stretched in your walk with God. For me, their passion for Jesus and their abandonment to God’s will challenges me to go deeper with God.
My desire is that, as you read about their journey, you will be encouraged and challenged to pursue God as well as recognize what He is doing in your life."

Preface
We are in the jubilee year, and God is making many moves in His Kingdom of Light. We hear so much about the negative trends and thought patterns of the world, but God has called the saints to be in the light of His glory. During this time of thick darkness on the earth, we need love to return to our homes. All family members need the admonition and training of God at their core.
God is love. Love made Adam and Eve in His image, and as such, We are all descendants of love. As parents today, we must show our children how we love our wives as Christ loves the church. We must walk in the footsteps of Jesus and walk in the love He demonstrated to His bride when He died for us.
We have no other options. We must show our children Christ-like love in our lives so they know how to love their mates and fellow humans. Showing love is what we as parents must do to teach our children to also love.
If wives would love like Hattie loves, their men wouldn’t be looking over the fence. The same thing applies to the husbands. If husbands love their wives like I love Hattie, their wives’ eyes would not be looking over the fence either. The grass is not greener. The same things you run from will face you on the other side of the fence too.
Today, we challenge you to love like God loves. The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost (Romans 5:5 KJV). Pray for the revival of the Godly family. Put God first in your life and yoke up with Jesus. Ecclesiastes 4:12 (KJV) states that, A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
Introduction
When we started the journey with the LORD, we had no idea about what God wanted us to be as husband and wife. We did not have mentors, or a coach, or a trainer who would tell us or show us the way to get into God’s anointed flow for marriage. My church did not offer premarital counseling. We just were given the date they had open around the time we wanted to get married. Several of our friends got married around the same time we did, and they did not have any counseling either. Accordingly, this walk of living in the glory has been created by God for us to rely on Him in order for us to live out our lives to please Him. It is all about pleasing Him in all aspects of our lives. This was not a micro-wave learning process. We had to have so much of us sifted and shifted into His way of communicating.
In order for us to give a clear and concise picture of how this all came about, we have to go back and share what our growing up
years looked like prior to our courtship and early married life. From there, we must move forward to the time when God’s Holy Spirit moved us from a very comfortable, productive, learning and teaching environment, into a new Spirit-led faith walk learning ministry in our sphere of influence and church life.
We hope these life truths will inspire others to look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, step on the water, and walk on by faith. He will certainly keep them from sinking.
The first direct call from God for our marriage in 1974 was to represent Him well. The second call was to pray for other married couples. We quickly said YES to both. We did not realize what this prayer movement would be like, and what it would be like "to live and represent Him well in the world
