The Pansophy of an Exposed Soul - Phillip "Legand" James

    LOVE FOR THY SELF

You conceded bastard… Are three words you can use to describe the overall emotion on the following pages as we embark on this journey of love? While others might perceive an excessive admiration of oneself, as zealotry profligacy, or a sign of immaturity, what most over look is the root that helps bloom that perception. It stems from the lack of respect one may feel from a misunderstanding of love and lack thereof.

Rarely do we see the signs that forge the pathway to our future, and though we try to deny what we know to be true, for comfort and for the sake of good times. I missed the signs loving myself.

    LOVE FOR THY SELF

    HUNGER FOR SUCCESS

    23399.jpg

My hunger for success goes further than the birth

Of Phillip Christopher James, further than everything

I love and hate, and love to hate, and hate that I love…

Further than my adolescent mistakes and the wisdom

I learn to gain in life with my young man age—further then

Religion and my righteous sprit or my angles fighting with

My inner demons as they grow, learning to lose and win with—each other…

Further than those who pass judgment after they’ve been judge

And lost sleep dealing with that mental anguish—

I’ve been there and done that trying to live, just living to

Come back to go further than most cats on a day to day basis…

So if I’m further than I must be deeper than the limits of imagination

Deeper than the theory of philosophy and the shoes to walk in

To be saved again—deeper than growth and the spirit of Mother Nature

And her relationship with Jesus and Satan—Deeper than the role

Played by death and his role in controlling this ever growing population!

-N—If I set mind to purpose I can get as deep as any musician or poets

Best one liner or metaphor after they put the pen to paper simply put

I’m Legand—which is a shorter way for me to say I am

    Love, Excellence Greatness, Arrogance—N—Determination

That’s why I strive in this life and the next to achieve the form of a star

Through internal happiness so I can shine bright in the dark and remain him!

    BEST THING SINCE CORNBREAD

    23411.jpg

I am the best thing since corn bread—My Ego Says

Regardless of my less than muscular figure—N—never mind

My hair that hasn’t seen a comb since last December

    I AM THE SHIT…

So don’t ask me if I want something for my chap lips

Or suggest I gain weight to make my clothes fit—I’m still sexy

Because my ego says I’m the best thing since cornbread and

The flyiest thing seen since Shaft when he had no hair…

So don’t give me your cute and sweet

Cause I’m not pudgy and I’m not a damn teddy bear

Did I mention I am the best thing since they brought

Flavors to corn bread—my ego says…

You can compare my cool to whoever defines cool

In your social group or just say my alias in full and you’ll know

My suave demeanor is the truth, that’s Pottie Ladies Man Tang

That’s because I can say a bunch of nothing drunk and get her

To forget she took his last name, and then leave in the middle

Of the night in boxers and boots and forget what I’ve done…

Have I mentioned what my ego’s been known to say?

That I am the hottest thing since hot water cornbread—SON!

My character stands out like a gentleman with all gold’s

In his mouth—I sparkle foolishly and my demeanor in a crowd

Has all eyes on me like I was a pop stars breast on NBC

So when you see me in the streets know my ego speaks

In rhythm to its own theme music—while you lame move

With two left feet all funny style like a Dr. Seuss nude scene!

    YOU DUDES AIN’T REAL

    23421.jpg

You dudes aint real, you ninjas are no Billy Dee nor Dapper Dan and all I ever hear

Is swag this and swag that—I’m saying—you dudes aint cool-N—swag is a stereotype that governs

How you act, hey boi those tight ass jeans you squeeze into just to sag—in em!

Makes me think you want to remove man denim, instead of kiss women (But hey to each it’s own)

So while these guys are in bright colors listening
