The Power of Delta Phi: Harnessing Change to Work for You
()
About this ebook
The story behind the principles laid out in this book is an example of how the little things in life can play such a huge role in how we live. The authors recollection of how he came by the principles compels the reader to look beyond the norm of our daily lives and endeavor to pursue more of the meaning of life that we all search for. The Power of Delta Phi explains and enables readers to adopt principles that empower them to move beyond the constraints of resisting the ever-present change in our lives, so that they may actively pursue solutions to improvise, overcome, and adapt to the ever-changing world we live in. The book sets down a set of eight principles that, when properly utilized, will provide the foundation upon which a person can build a less stressful environment controlled more by their own design and less by chance.

The Power of Delta Phi
I dedicate this book to all the people
who struggle with change in their lives each day.
May your paths be enlightened, your load be lightened
and may your journey be brightened.
Introduction
As a college president for the past decade and a business owner, operator and/or director for over four decades, I have consistently been surrounded and challenged by the need to help people cope with change. No matter what the assignment in life, I have found that most if not all the people I’ve served and served with have struggled, to different degrees, with the constant pressures and stress of change. The battle has rarely subsided for more than a brief moment if at all. The struggle has been so intense at some points that I perceived failure as an outcome if relief could not be provided. To that end, I have spent a great deal of time and money studying and learning to mitigate the negative effects of change in every way that I have found possible. My mission to continue to provide assistance with that effort is the motivation for my writing this book.
As an educator I learned early on that in order for people to spend the time and effort required to really comprehend something, they must have a need or a reason or at least a perceived reason to do so. They must perceive a benefit greater than the cost or they will not continue to the desired outcome. I submit that understanding how to mitigate the negativity associated with change is worth the effort and I submit the information contained on the pages of this book as evidence towards that conclusion. I further submit that anyone who takes
