I dedicate this book to my wife, Karen; my son, Salomon; and my daughters, Carolina, Christina, and Rebeca—their lives have illuminated mine. Through them, God has given me the opportunity to know diverse dimensions of love, and of course, they are my inspiration and my most precious investment and treasure in this life.
I also dedicate this to my parents and grandparents who cared for and guided me the best way possible and who have also left me a spiritual legacy. I give thanks to my sisters, uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and to all the rest of my family, without forgetting all the companions God has given me—my friends. They have been a great part of my knowledge and experiences of the seven dimensions. From this interaction with them, I have been able to discover myself and be enriched with love. We have allowed God to speak and guide us through this journey so that, together, we may discover and experience his favor.
graphic1.jpgIntroduction
What is the most profound secret in the heart of mankind?
How can we know the origin of thoughts and desires?
Do you know where your own desires come from?
Is there a way to understand love, or is it solely a feeling, a sentiment?
Is love a science, and is there a way of studying it?
Does it originate from the physical attraction between one person and another, or is it perhaps the energy and electricity that is produced from it?
Why does time seem to stop when you are with the person you love?
All of this is part of the great and mysterious scheme of love.
Secrets of the Universe—
How to Know the Secrets of Love
In reality, every human being is thirsty for love. On a daily basis, they look at various magazines and watch movies and television programs regarding human relationships and how to find love. However, for the majority of people, the problem consists fundamentally in that they are looking to be loved rather than learning how to love, for that is the catalyst of great virtue.
Any foundation of love must begin with an interrogation of your own existence and those of your fellow man—the human species.
Humankind—in all epochs, civilizations, races, and cultures—From the day of birth to the day of death, man is confined to a daily routine from Monday to Sunday, morning to night, to the point where all his activities become pre-established and automatic, like a machine. I have walked through the most populated cities of Latin America, the United States, and Europe, and have found that in each there is a degeneration and decadency clearly manifested from ignorance and the consequences of violence, war, sickness, insecurity, and poverty, which result in the irreparable demise of human life.
How can man, who has been given a unique opportunity to live, between hope and fear, with the choice of accepting change or remaining immobile, with the great desire for love and the great disappointment of being rejected and forced into loneliness, find unique individuality—his own identity—if he is a slave to endless manipulative routines?
In times of change, in times of crisis, you need to have answers. You may be experiencing one of the most difficult financial stages of your life. You need wisdom, but how can you find that inexhaustible treasure if you have just suffered through a tragedy or an accident, or perhaps if you have lost a loved one to a drug overdose? How do you find the strength to stay positive when circumstances do not appear to be very encouraging?
Ideologies and opinions of contemporary society, spread through the mass media, in turn standardizing human thinking? Because those in power need to control every individual in order to make society work in masses to their advantage, smoothly and without friction, in an environment where everyone receives the same orders, and yet becomes completely convinced that those ideas and desires that were implanted in them are actually their own. Just as in manufacturing and mass production, which require the standardization of products, the social process causes the automation of human beings but covertly calls itself equality,
which is actually the greatest enemy of an individual’s identity and purpose.
Any union created by conformity and complacency will never be strong and authentic. The perceived tranquility, dictated by routine, causes the absence of purpose and becomes so oppressive that it maintains society in anguish, primarily due to human separation and void of interaction.
Individual people, as well as the conglomerate mentality of the masses, generally live within a narrow mental framework that does not permit them to see beyond their own circumstances. They allow others to impose their own limitations and barriers upon themselves. Consequently, those limitations cause a dependency on drugs, alcohol, compulsive sexuality, and every other symptom and consequence of failure, producing a herd mentality with no basic standard or moral values.
How can one find a love that is everlasting? How many types of love exist? It appears that human love is one-dimensional; it will only work for a period of time and in one direction. How can humans find a love that serves as a mature solution for the basic needs of human existence and purpose? When speaking of love, we tend to refer only to those immature forms that are ephemeral, transitory, and superficial, which leave us empty and without purpose in our lives.
He who knows nothing, loves nothing. He who can do nothing understands nothing. He who understands nothing is worthless. But he who understands also loves, notices, sees. … The more inherent knowledge in something, the greater the love for it. … Anyone who imagines that all fruits ripen at the same time as the strawberries knows nothing about grapes.
—Paracelsus
Your decisions create your present and are the seeds of the future. Our existence in reality is an immediate reflection of our thoughts; we must learn to fill our minds with positive thoughts, full of light. I have observed over the years that life itself contains various levels of elemental principles and laws that are unbreakable, in the present—the now—and for eternity. Human life is clearly governed by the laws of the universe that have already been fully instituted, and you can use them to your advantage. The quality of your information will determine the quality of your life. Remember that you must learn to find your purpose in life with your heart, with a clean heart.
Your mind will then strive to conceive your destiny, and will give you the hope and energy to achieve it. Love contains the secret map with the route to the treasures of the universe. That route is your own journey and adventure in this life.
What do you need to start living your life to the fullest? Make every effort to live a life of gratitude, and you will discover an inexhaustible source of love, which is the key that will open the door to the maximum dimension.
graphic2.jpggraphic3.jpgPreface
Human life depends on our relationships with others. Tolerance is one of the more difficult attributes to cultivate in a man. But tolerance is tested when you are part of the majority and consequently you have the power. Courage develops when you are part of the minority and lack authority. The development of tolerance truly begins when you look for harmony in the midst of differences, and find the common denominator, a uniting link, in all relationships.
Surely you have asked why it has become such a difficult task to maintain a harmonious relationship with others and, of course, with yourself.
In this modern era in which globalization, instant communication, and advanced technology have caused our lives and their events to happen even faster, we lack the time necessary to balance the different areas of our lives, i.e., interpersonal relations, family, work, career, social obligations, and, most importantly, ourselves.
You are designed to relate to others, something that requires having the right balance, distinguishing your most important relationships and prioritizing them accordingly. We must learn to give and take in the right proportion. It is wise to assign an order to your priorities so that you keep a positive balance in every relationship in your life.
When I was a child, I remember learning about the Golden Rule: treat others the way you want to be treated. I have found that it is the most basic and necessary principle of human relationships.
So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
(Matthew 7:12 ) NLT
Modern-day human relationships are dominated by those who have the wealth—those who can establish the terms of supply and demand. The skills and talents that are sold on the market are relegated and do not have value if there is no need for them in the production and consumption of current market conditions. This economic structure is reflected very clearly in the range of values established by society at present. Inanimate things and wealth dominate humanity. Work, skill, and talent are confined to the material world. Money now has more value and thus control over the individual, his creativity, and human spirit—that which is alive.
The power of accumulated possessions is astonishingly influential. Although temporal and transitory, they can now buy out human desire. Pleasure
