Cycle Of Love
I have written a number of poems,
As they are about love—the words keep flowing.
It’s easy to find,
Words that rhyme,
Especially with love as the subject.
And while most would not object,
That love is not simple,
They’d say it’s based on some principles:
1. One must love unconditionally,
2. Love must develop naturally,
3. Love must give you a happy feeling,
4. Love must be with somebody worth keeping.
All these above,
Must be present for true love.
While there maybe more that come to mind,
I’m sure you will find,
That love will go through a cycle.
First, is the miracle,
You have found the right one,
That’s when all the fun has begun.
Second, is when your feelings grow,
You try to resist but your heart says so!!
Third, is when you know you’re in love,
That’s when you place no one above.
Fourth, is when you know you’ve found your companion,
All other fail by comparison.
Then there will come a time when there will be pain.
There will be situations that will drive you insane.
Finally there is the pain of departure,
It could be from break up, cheating or leaving for the ever after.
This stage could make you sad,
For some, they will be glad.
Most will just want to cry,
Others may want to curl up and die.
While all the stages will have ups and downs,
Your feelings will
