~ Peter Anthony
Introduction -
Synchronicity - at its simplest is defined as a meaningful coincidence. On August 22, 1989, because of the changes in the economy, I started a new job, in a new industry. I was excited about the possibilities for growth in my career.
I still remember hearing the song The End of the Innocence
on the radio as I drove to work my first day. The very next day (as I would learn sometime later), a new customer service representative would start work at the same company and would soon be working in the same location as I was.
This book is a collection of poems written over the years 1992 to 2006. It is a story of love, its beginning, the way love grows, the heartaches of expression and separation, and the blessings of love as it becomes present in the lives of two people.
This is a journey of the heart, of every heart, in any place, that has ever reached out to touch love, and by doing this has felt its longing, known its joy and the reason that a flowering rose is a symbol of love’s promise, and also why its stem is dressed with thorns.
In sharing these words it is our sincere wish that all those who read them, come a little closer to love. Understand that love is meant for all of us, can come to us at any moment, and as much as we would like to choose, it is a moment that chooses us. What will we hear when love calls?
One day while sitting in the rain, listening to a voice I think I have known forever, I began to hear it -
Quietly around the two,
fell the fleeting day …
Let’s walk a while now, take a journey of the heart, as we share these Words of Love …
