Love brings with it such a myriad of emotion when you move out of home at the age of 16, begin living a life of "sin," elope at the age of 18, are divorced at the age of 25, re-married at 28, widowed at 35, and re-married at the age of 40. Just when you think you "have it all" love can disappear, mysteriously reappearing in the most unlikely places. This book was written to re-create and share emotions involving the evolution of love. Discovering oneself while falling in love, is a journey to be shared. Sometimes all too soon forgotten, it is love that helps us to grow and if we are lucky - we learn to fly.

Today, Tomorrow and Forever
what must I do
you should have told me
I’m afraid
I didn’t know
how could I
I remember
I should really
I plan to be there
I thought that you knew
nobody told me
you
were perfect for me
if God
perhaps, if I tell you
if you could
just as sure
without hearts
we do not feel
of course
the closer and nearer
I know
separated now, by time

healing all wounds.
you are my rock
you couldn’t know
IF
I could have held you
AFTER
I want to hold you
I tried to find
if there is
the
things you did
stole my heart
it keeps my heart
just what I feel
it makes no sense
for every soul
there is a place
if you want more
how did you know
I knew you were special
I close my eyes
a lifetime partner
but more likely, a dog …
I want to
I need you
from the words
how don’t you know
you will always

of all the things
if anyone asked
far beyond

weren’t perfect
hearts don’t need

perhaps it isn’t
the act of loving
today
why can’t I
I don’t want to know
meeting men in the supermarket
so alone
wandering the earth
love is
when you stood
just like always
if you need
if you tell me
and then comes forever
I hope
how can
I know a love
I want to
I want you

Today, Tomorrow and Forever
Today, tomorrow and forever
- words from the wedding vows they had just witnessed. Some day, she hoped to reply to his question with a simple I do
. Was it always
or forever
that is longer? He had given her the most wonderful hug last night. She hoped he had felt her response. But perhaps he was just relieved.
She had known by the look on his face that he had come to say goodbye
and that he was leaving that night. Soon they would again be living separate lives, with no guarantee when their paths might cross.
Without him by her side, suddenly she felt so alone.
When he had looked her way, his eyes were both sad and distant. Haunted, really. She closed her eyes to remember how gently he had taken her hand and squeezed it. That gesture was one she wanted to re-live again and again.
Last night she was awakened by the sound of blinds flapping on the open window. It was then she realized that she had fallen in love.
With what? she asked herself. Or better yet, with whom?
Yet somehow that simple caress of her hand felt so right. When his arms had tightened around her, she felt she couldn't breathe.
She resolved that the next time, she would try harder to discover his secrets. Something felt different, now that she had decided to follow her heart. How long must she wait?
Whatever the outcome, she knew she would hold the memory of his touch, in her heart forever.
what must I do
what must I do, to make you mine
what more can I say
if given time
if I leave it to God, to
