I began to see Him teaching me more about His love, even by Him

Brenda Rene Headley

Brenda Rene Headley, resides in Southern Ca with her husband. Between them they have five grown children and nine grandchildren. She became a spirit filled Christian in 1988. And earned a degree in Ministry. Brenda currently helps with R.O.C.K. Ministry, an orphanage in Kisumu Kenya. Born the eleventh child of a Texas family, of eleven children, Brenda Price moved to California with five siblings and her mother at age seven years. There fatherless and struggling, the family survived in Southern California. Brenda attended school in various locations until meeting and marrying her first husband. She had two children, Jesse and Jason Covington who in later years bore her six grand children between them. After about ten years that marriage ended. She later married her current husband, Hal Headley. With three sons now added to the family, she was made a grand mother three more times. She shops for nine grand children, and loves every minute. During her second marriage, she was introduced to Jesus Christ, and subsequently became very involved with her church. After some encouragement from several friends and her husband, she went on to earn a degree in ministry. With this new knowledge she soon found herself with a deep appreciation for family and people in general. This heart for others soon lead her to a position with the R.O.C.K. Ministries, an Orphanage in Kenya. Seeing the devastation of orphans and the plight of the Kenyan people, she began to keep a special notebook of deep felt Holy Spirit led thoughts concerning the heart. Much of the inspiration became evident to her after attending the Celebrate Recovery Program. With a clean heart, lifestyle and attitude, heart thoughts began to flow. Brenda was encouraged by many to share these deep thoughts in this, her first work.

I want to thank my husband and friend Hal Headley for all his support, love, and encouragement to see this book through. Introduction

I’ve recorded much scripture in It’s All about the Heart because I feel we need to have the word in our hearts. And we need to speak what’s in our hearts and act accordingly. Scripture reveals to me that many of our thoughts and actions are from the heart. God encouraged me to write this book to tell others that in order to clean their hearts to be pure we must understand His words about this vital organ. His word keeps the heart functioning in righteous living. In Jeremiah 29:13 God says He will be found by those who search for Him with all their heart. Let me tell you first what God’s word says about the heart, from Strong’s Dictionary. Then let us examine the ways God can speak to us and work through our lives. I want to share my prayers and my thoughts and the way God has manifested Himself in my life.

Strong’s Dictionary, #2588 heart. Kardia (kar-dee-ah): from a root word meaning to quiver or to palpitate. (Compare to cardiac and pericardium.) The physical organ of the body, the center of physical life, the seat of one’s personal life (both physical and spiritual), the center of one’s personality, the seat of one’s entire menial and moral activity, containing both rational and emotional elements. It is the seat of feelings, desires, joy, pain, and love. It is also the center for thought, understanding, and will. The human heart is the dwelling place of the Lord and the Holy Spirit. The omniscient Lord sees into the innermost being, where all decisions concerning Him are made.
