About this ebook

This weekly Devotional was written with the belief and assurance that God will meet all our needs, as we walk the paths of our daily living to inspire in the readers the fact that God is always closer to us in an intimate way to mold and fashion us in the same manner that the potter does with the clay: to be the person He intended to share eternity with, for the glory of His precious name.
The book will also will enhance the readers’ notion that to grow closer to God is to spend time alone with Him meditating in the great and unique wisdom of His Word, as described in the letter He sent to us, the Holy Bible. This book teaches us to live boldly with faith in Christ and to grow with strong convictions in the enhancement of our faith and hope: to brings us closer to God, to enjoy His peace, love and to walk under the presence of His abundant light. Amen!

    An Introduction

A Devotional for Every Week of the Year was written with the intention that God will meet all our needs as we walk in the paths of our daily living. For God is always closer to all of us in an intimate way to mold and fashion us in the manner that the potter does with the clay: to be the person He intended to share eternity with for the glory of His name. The way to grow closer to God is to spend time alone with Him, meditating on the great unique wisdom of His Word. It is my deepest hope that the excerpts and contents of this book will bring us to fellowship with God as we walk close to God daily.

For what God desires always will be in our best interest. Accordingly, our plans always must be the result of fervent prayer and based upon God’s will for our precious life! But we all need to pay attention to what is going inside of us, for the direction of the path we all chose to take will always determine our final destination.

Therefore, beyond the Golden Rule of To love your neighbor as you love yourself, in Jeremiah 33:3, God Himself, speaking to all of us, registered a rule also precious to follow: Call unto me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, which you knowest not.

That, my dear beloved friends, is just the simple but precious truth of the Wisdom of Prayer as we all prepare, for our ultimate destination: A rendezvous with God.

These devotionals will give us the wisdom to live boldly with faith in Christ and grow with strong convictions in the enhancement of our faith better than before and forever and ever in the name of Jesus Christ, I pray to God to bless you and to enhance your minds with the virtues of His precious love. Amen!

For "Your Word is a lamp to my feet, and a

light to my path," Psalm 119:105

    and

"For I can do all things through Crist which

    strengthened me," Philippians 4:13.

For the above-indicated reasons, this devotional makes a strong emphasis on the great value in our lives of the Wisdom of Prayer. For our Father God knows our basic needs before we ask Him to meet them. For as our Lord Jesus Christ indicated to us in Matthew 6:31–33, Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or what shall we drink? Or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For your heavenly Father knoweth that you have need of all these things. But seek you first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness (justice); and all these things shall be added unto you.

For justice to God is described in Psalm 37:4 as follows: Delight thyself also in the Lord, and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. And in the event, we lack wisdom, the Word of God teaches us in James 1:5: If any of you lack Wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraided not; and it shall be given him or her.

Again, please remember that for the love of God to be manifested to us with the kindness of His loving heart, we should follow and adhere to the wise words indicated to all of us in Psalm 107: 8–9:

Oh, that men would praise the Lord of his goodness, and for this wonderful works to the children of men! For He satisfied the longing soul and filled the hungry soul with goodness.

And that is, my dear beloved brothers and sisters in the love of Christ, the significance and the benefits of the wisdom of a prayer that will enhance the consciousness of your precious minds and the satisfaction of a well-lived life!

Please note that all the Scriptures references of the Holy Bible are from the bilingual edition of the Kings James Version, 1960 revision, published by Holman Bible Publishing, Nashville, Tennessee, USA.

    About the Author

Angel Martinez, an ordained chaplain, minister, and servant of God, was born in Puerto Rico in 1943. However, destiny took a turn, and at the young age of seventeen years, he had to do hard labor in the streets of New York, which got him low pay, inspiring in him an ardent zeal and desire for progress.

The city turned into a nightmare for many Hispanic dreamers who came to this welcoming city to grow, but Mr. Martinez did not lose hope. He struggled a lot, and his endeavors eventually got him into the US Army, which provided him well. However, he soon realized that he did not want to fight against poor people who had not done any harm. He capitalized on this mishap, and with an honorable discharge and the G.I. Bill on his side, he began working out his path, studied hard, and sought out God for a helping hand. Through this, he managed to survive, and thereupon God has been a light unto his path.

After God blessed his life with the coming of Christ to dwell upon his heart and soul, and being a compassionate family man with a loving soul, he became a fervent reader and seeker of the Word of God as described in the old manuscripts, the Holy Bible and many other related books, including the Apocrypha (books that are found in Greek versions of the Jewish Bible but were not included in the final version of the Hebrew Bible).

But his writings are also the fruits of his personal experience, frustrations, failures, hardships, gains, and losses, all healed and restored by the grace of God.

His hope and expectation are that all who will read and with discernment listen to his voice receive this message: Nothing is impossible for you with God at your side, but you must have what it takes to make it happen! Otherwise, another notch of failure will be posted on the record of your actions.

Please do not let this happen to you. Because God, like an earthly father, has compassion for his children. God has compassion for those who seek Him. Ask for wisdom and love Him!

In addition, the author has previously written three books in the Spanish language: Sintesis de Una Vision, Notas de la Vida en Pensamientos y Poesia, and Las Bondades del Cartero, all registered in the Library of Congress in Washington DC, with their respective ISBN numbers.

The author is also a composer of songs, some of which are being prepared for recording by the master Cuban arranger Dayron Ortega Guzman. The
