Yvonne Kendrick was born in Suffolk where she spent her early childhood. From the age of six she knew she wanted to become an early years teacher. When she qualified, she worked across the county of Norfolk working in all types of schools but always within the five to nine age range. Following retirement she decided to write a children’s book. Image22363.JPGRoly was a very fat tabby cat. He would have been quite handsome, but his wobbly tummy and fat paws rather spoiled his good looks. This made Roly feel very grumpy at times, because when people met him for the first time they usually said, What a beautiful cat, pity he’s so plump!
While Roly’s family were out at work and school all day, he mostly snoozed in his large cat basket, only moving to walk slowly over to his cat
