BUGS BUNNY

Sitting on the sofa after a long day at school, I endlessly flicked through the TV channels.

That’s when my little sister Rosie, 12, came bursting into the living room.

‘Mum, please can I have a rabbit?’ she begged, sweetly.

‘I’m not sure, Love,’ my mum, Emma, 44, quickly replied.

‘Oh go on Mum, let her have one,’ I chimed, knowing that a bunny would benefit Rosie.

She had been struggling with the transition into homeschooling recently, and I thought the love of a fluffy pet could really help her to settle in.

Day after day, Rosie would ask the same question.

And after a lot of persuading, Rosie’s pleading finally worked.

‘Come on then, let’s go to the pet shop,’ Mum huffed, and Rosie’s eyes instantly lit up.
