About The King James Bible

The King James Bible is often referred to as the King James Version (KJV). There are slightly different versions of the King James Bible and in this e-book we use the King James Pure Cambridge Version which we call KJB for short. The following information is an excerpt from Wikipedia:

King James Version - General History: The King James Version (KJV), also known as the Authorized Version (AV) or King James Bible (KJB), is an English translation of the Christian Bible for the Church of England begun in 1604 and completed in 1611. In 1612, the first King James Version using Roman Type was issued. This quarto version is only second to the 1611 folio KJV. First printed by the King's Printer Robert Barker, this was the third translation into English to be approved by the English Church authorities. The first was the Great Bible commissioned in the reign of King Henry VIII (1535), and the second was the Bishops' Bible of 1568. In January 1604, James I convened the Hampton Court Conference where a new English version was conceived in response to the perceived problems of the earlier translations as detected by the Puritans, a faction within the Church of England.

James gave the translators instructions intended to guarantee that the new version would conform to the ecclesiology and reflect the episcopal structure of the Church of England and its belief in an ordained clergy. The translation was done by 47 scholars, all of whom were members of the Church of England. In common with most other translations of the period, the New Testament was translated from Greek, the Old Testament was translated from Hebrew and Aramaic text, while the Apocrypha was translated from the Greek and Latin. In the Book of Common Prayer (1662), the text of the Authorized Version replaced the text of the Great Bible – for Epistle and Gospel readings (but not for the Psalter which has retained substantially Coverdale's Great Bible version) and as such was authorized by Act of Parliament. By the first half of the 18th century, the Authorized Version had become effectively unchallenged as the English translation used in Anglican and Protestant churches, other than for the Psalms and some short passages in the Book of Common Prayer of the Church of England. Over the course of the 18th century, the Authorized Version supplanted the Latin Vulgate as the standard version of scripture for English-speaking scholars. With the development of stereotype printing at the beginning of the 19th century, this version of the Bible became the most widely printed book in history, almost all such printings presenting the standard text of 1769 extensively re-edited by Benjamin Blayney at Oxford; and nearly always omitting the books of the Apocrypha. Today the unqualified title 'King James Bible' commonly identifies this Oxford standard text.

I denne artikkelen følger en oversikt over de forskjellige utgavene av Bibelen som har kommet ut i Norge på gammelnorsk, dansk, landsmål/nynorsk, bokmål, nordsamisk og sørsamisk. Dette er bibelutgaver som har vært lagd spesielt med tanke på Norge. For de danske og samiske utgavene, har de også vært i bruk utenfor Norge, men de har også hatt større eller mindre grader av utbredelse i Norge. I den senere tid har også bibeloversettelser til språk som vietnamesisk, polsk, spansk og andre språk blitt mer vanlige i Norge på grunn av innvandring. Bibelutgaver på slike språk er ikke tatt med i denne artikkelen, da den fokuserer på de språkene som har en lengre historie i Norge, og bibelutgaver spesielt tiltenkt det norske markedet.

Helt siden kristendommen ble innført i Norge, har Bibelen spilt en stor rolle, men det var særlig etter reformasjonen det ble gjort et arbeid for å gjøre den tilgjengelig på språk som var forståelig i et bredt lag av folket. Enkelte bibeloversettelser har fått større betydning enn andre. For noen, som for den nordsamiske oversettelsen fra slutten av 1800-tallet, kommer dette av at de har vært enerådende over lang tid. For andre, som Bibelselskapets oversettelse fra 1930, kommer det av at det er svært gode oversettelser.

De forskjellige oversettelsene er oversatt fra forskjellige språk. Noen er oversatt fra tysk, noen fra latin og noen fra dansk eller andre nordiske språk. De aller fleste oversettelsene har brukt manuskripter på grunnspråkene gresk, hebraisk og aramaisk som grunnlag for oversettelsene. Oversettelsene har så blitt gjort etter forskjellige prinsipper, der noen har lagt vekt på å ligge tett opp mot tekstene man oversetter fra, ofte med en tung tekst som resultat, mens andre har lagt vekt på å få en godt forstålig tekst, men dermed ikke alltid klarer å formidle det som står i tekstene man oversetter så godt. Dette er vurderinger man må gjøre i alt oversetterarbeid, også i bibeloversettelse, og man finner flere varianter i norsk bibelhistorie.

Vær obs på at nummereringen på noen vers i denne er endret slik at disse følger King James 1611 versjonen.

Bible kralická 1613

Bible kralická je česká tištěná bible, kterou z původních biblických jazyků (hebrejštiny, aramejštiny a řečtiny) přeložili překladatelé a teologové původní Jednoty bratrské. Svůj název dostala podle místa vytištění, kterým byly jihomoravské Kralice. Je to první český překlad bible z původních jazyků, nikoli z latinské Vulgáty.

Text v různých vydáních Kralické bible se pozvolna měnil. Bylo to proto, že se neustále měnila a zdokonalovala předloha, kterou měli překladatelé a revizoři k dispozici. Své prameny a předlohy však překladatelé většinou neuvádějí. Jen u pátého dílu (apokryfů) je udána Antverpská polyglota z roku 1572 a pro knihy Ezdrášovy řecká bible vytištěná v Basileji v roce 1545. V roce 1613 byla jednosvazková Kralická bible vydána znovu, opět po předcházející revizi; též bez poznámkového aparátu. Byla vydána proto, že se již nedostávalo pro velký zájem knih z předchozího vydání, ale i proto, že bylo potřeba vydat bibli v poněkud větším a čitelnějším formátu, než byla předchozí jednosvazková Bible kralická. Toto vydání je označováno jako „poslední kralické vydání" z toho důvodu, že několik let poté (po Bílé hoře) musela Jednota bratrská ukončit svou činnost.

Our Bible Introduction

Gods word is surely the most wonderful and astounding text given mankind throughout all time. Only a thourough study of it can unlock its secrets. We believe it is critical, not just in this time and age, to understand Gods nature. At present everything seems to be upside down, where good is bad and bad is good. Our direction and compass is knowing God wrote His word to stand the test of time since He clearly wrote it prophetically, seeing the end from the beginning. How do we know? We know because He has confirmed many of the events that are happening in the world and have happened even within our own small lifespan. God has spoken of and prophecied about world wide events in The Bible and these prophecies are unique. You will not find anything like The Bible on planet Earth with such mindblowing accuracy and precision. But on a smaller level, each man and woman needs to make up their mind and walk out that which God tells them. That is when we have the signs and wonders following, by acting upon and putting our trust in The word of God, The Bible. It is indeed written that Jesus Christ is the author of our faith and what more can we ask for. I have personally seen people healed from incurable sicknesses such as HIV. Through the authority Jesus gave us I have cast out Demons, seen metal disappear from a body and be replaced with normal bones. I have set people free from the smallest sickness to terminal sickness and I can testify of the immense joy that follows a battle fought and won! There are many witnesses of the signs and wonders that will happen to anyone who choose to believe God and dares to walk the talk. Surely, The Body of Christ is active and alive and God is good to His children! But we need to heed His word and seek the knowledge He has for us. Not just through the word, but through closeness with God and active fellowship with our brothers and sisters. The Holy Spirit will always confirm The Truth that Jesus Christ of Nazareth wants to share with us.

But do not just take this for granted. Gods word can surely be dug into, tested, verified and found worthy. But for you to incorporate it into your life and see the reality of it, requires faith. Living faith, not dead faith. A heartbeat at a time, day by day, feeding upon The Word of God and enjoying the fruit of The Spirit. When we ask God, pursuit the truth He has set before us, He will surely answer in time. Do not think it will lead you to nowhere, cause it will not. This is not just some senseless gong ho as unbelievers will have it, sprinkled with nice stories of miracles and what not. Far from it. We have seen this time and time again. The truth is singular and our creator is true and The One and only I AM. There are no multiple Gods here, that is a lie from the devil. Neither is God a floating self-aware entity made up by every living being. Earth, or Gaia as many calls it is a fiction and a fairytale. How we have stumbled, fallen and seen death all around us, but never did it enlighten us until Jesus Christ of Nazareth came and showed us the truth and nothing but the truth. He is surely the way, the truth and the life. Unless a person walks it out according to Gods knowledge, that person will continue sleepwalking until the very end. Such an end would be sad to say the least. Wake up now and taste the goodness of God and draw close to Him and He will draw close to you! And if you have already woken up, but are walking around feeling sleepy: *fight* in order to not fall asleep again, seek Father with all your heart, mind and soul and be vigilant in doing so! Even so, I must admit I have no clue as to how God has managed to put together The Bible in the way He has. To my own intellect I looked at The Bible as flawed, beyond repair and full of tairytales. But that was before I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and experienced the power of God through an evangelist who took The Bible literal. The signs and wonders have not stopped since. Not because of me, but because God never changes and He has clearly showed that He wants everyone saved! Hands down, this is the best news I have ever heard and experienced! Love your God with all your heart, with all your might and everthing you are and you will surely conquer whatever comes against you, no matter the size or seeming severity. God seeks your heart, your attention and your affection. Through Him you will overcome the desires and the lusts of this world and live a life of abundance into eternity.

Please forgive me for being so blunt and straight forward. I sincerely wish for you all to be and walk in the blessing God has for you. Some of you are even walking in what feels like a desert, but remember that God will chastise those He loves. Not because He hates us, on the contrary. He is our Father if we let Him, and He will always see to it that as long as we listen to Him we will carry more fruit. And sometimes a time in the desert is needed. Even so, please fear not, because God is surely on your side when you seek Him with all your heart. Surely nothing is impossible with our Father in heaven. If He has spoken it will come to pass! All Glory to God!!

Matthew 2 :1

kjb Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

nor Da Jesus var født i Betlehem i Judea, i kong Herodes' dager, se, da kom nogen vismenn fra Østerland til Jerusalem og sa:

Matthew 2 :2

kjb Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

nor Hvor er den jødenes konge som nu er født? Vi har sett hans stjerne i Østen og er kommet for å tilbede ham.

cze Řkouce: Kde jest ten, kterýž se narodil Král Židovský? Nebo viděli jsme hvězdu jeho na východu slunce, a přijeli jsme klaněti se jemu.

Matthew 2 :3

kjb When Herod the king had heard [these things], he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

nor Men da kong Herodes hørte det, blev han forferdet, og hele Jerusalem med ham.

cze To uslyšev Herodes král, zarmoutil se i všecken Jeruzalém s ním.

Matthew 2 :4

kjb And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.

nor Og han sammenkalte alle yppersteprestene og de skriftlærde blandt folket og spurte dem hvor Messias skulde fødes.

cze A svolav všecky přední kněží a učitele lidu, tázal se jich, kde by se Kristus měl naroditi.

kjb And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,

nor De sa til ham: I Betlehem i Judea; for så er skrevet ved profeten:

cze Oni pak řekli jemu: V Betlémě Judově. Nebo tak jest psáno skrze proroka:

Matthew 2 :6

kjb And thou Bethlehem, [in] the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.

nor Og du Betlehem i Juda land, du er ingenlunde den ringeste blandt høvdingene i Juda; for fra dig skal utgå en høvding som skal være hyrde for mitt folk Israel.

cze A ty Betléme, země Judská, nikoli nejsi nejmenší mezi knížaty Judskými; neboť z tebe vyjde Vývoda, kterýž pásti bude lid můj Izraelský.

Matthew 2 :7

kjb Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.

nor Da kalte Herodes hemmelig vismennene til sig og spurte dem nøie om tiden da stjernen hadde vist sig;

cze Tedy Herodes tajně povolav mudrců, pilně se jich ptal, kterého by se jim času hvězda ukázala.

Matthew 2 :8

kjb And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found [him], bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.

nor og han sendte dem til Betlehem og sa: Gå og spør nøie om barnet; og når I har funnet det, da si mig til, forat også jeg kan komme og tilbede det!

cze A když je propouštěl do Betléma, řekl: Jdouce, ptejte se pilně na to dítě, a když naleznete, zvěstujtež mi, ať i já přijda, pokloním se jemu.

Matthew 2 :9

kjb When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.

nor Da de hadde hørt kongens ord, drog de avsted; og se, stjernen som de hadde sett i Østen, gikk foran dem, inntil den kom og blev stående over det sted hvor barnet var.

cze Oni pak vyslyševše krále, jeli. A aj, hvězda, kterouž byli viděli na východu slunce, předcházela je, až i přišedši, stála nad domem, kdež bylo dítě.

Matthew 2 :10

kjb When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.

nor Og da de så stjernen, blev de over all måte glade.

cze A uzřevše hvězdu, zradovali se radostí velmi velikou.

Matthew 2 :11

kjb And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

nor Og de gikk inn i huset og så barnet med Maria, dets mor, og de falt ned og tilbad det, og oplot sine gjemmer og bar frem gaver til det: gull og røkelse og myrra.

cze I všedše do domu, nalezli dítě s Marijí matkou jeho, a padše, klaněli se jemu; a otevřevše poklady své, obětovali jemu dary, zlato a kadidlo a mirru.

Matthew 2 :12

kjb And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.

nor Og da de var blitt varslet av Gud i en drøm at de ikke skulde vende tilbake til Herodes, drog de en annen vei bort til sitt land.

cze A od Boha napomenuti jsouce ve snách, aby se nenavraceli k Herodesovi, jinou cestou navrátili se do krajiny své.

Matthew 2 :13

kjb And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

nor Men da de hadde draget bort, se, da åpenbarer Herrens engel sig i en drøm for Josef og sier: Stå op, ta barnet og dets mor og fly til Egypten, og bli der inntil jeg sier dig til! for Herodes vil søke efter barnet for å drepe det.

cze Když pak oni odjeli, aj, anděl Páně ukázal se Jozefovi ve snách, řka: Vstana, vezmi dítě i matku jeho, a utec do Egypta, a buď tam, dokavadž nepovím tobě; neboť bude Herodes hledati dítě, aby je zahubil.

Matthew 2 :14

kjb When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:

nor Da stod han op og tok barnet og dets mor om natten og drog bort til Egypten,

cze Kterýžto vstav hned v noci, vzal dítě i matku jeho, a odšel do Egypta.

Matthew 2 :15

kjb And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

nor og han blev der til Herodes' død, forat det skulde opfylles som er talt av Herren ved profeten, som sier: Fra Egypten kalte jeg min sønn.

cze A byl tam až do smrti Herodesovy, aby se naplnilo povědění Páně skrze proroka, řkoucího: Z Egypta povolal jsem Syna svého.

Matthew 2 :16

kjb Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.

nor Da Herodes nu så at han var blitt narret av vismennene, blev han meget vred, og han sendte bud og lot drepe alle de guttebarn som var i Betlehem og alt landet deromkring, fra to år og derunder, efter den tid han nøie hadde utspurt av vismennene.

cze Tehdy Herodes uzřev, že by oklamán byl od mudrců, rozhněval se náramně, a poslav služebníky své, zmordoval všecky dítky, kteréž byly v Betlémě i ve všech končinách jeho, od dvouletých a níže, podle času, na kterýž se byl pilně vyptal od mudrců.

kjb Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying,

Matthew 2 :18

kjb In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping [for] her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.

nor En røst blev hørt i Rama, gråt og stor klage; Rakel gråt over sine barn og vilde ikke la sig trøste, for de er ikke mere til.

cze Hlas v Ráma slyšán jest, naříkání a pláč a kvílení mnohé; Ráchel plačící synů svých, a nedala se potěšiti, protože jich není.

kjb But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,

nor Men da Herodes var død, se, da åpenbarer Herrens engel sig i en drøm for Josef i Egypten og sier:

cze Když pak umřel Herodes, aj, anděl Páně ukázal se Jozefovi ve snách v Egyptě,

Matthew 2 :20

kjb Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life.

nor Stå op, ta barnet og dets mor og dra til Israels land! for de er døde som stod barnet efter livet.

cze Řka: Vstana, vezmi dítě i matku jeho, a jdiž do země Izraelské; neboť jsou zemřeli ti, jenž hledali bezživotí dítěte.

Matthew 2 :21

kjb And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.

nor Og han stod op og tok barnet og dets mor og kom til Israels land.

cze Kterýžto vstav, vzal dítě i matku jeho, a přišel do země Izraelské.

Matthew 2 :22

kjb But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:

nor Men da han hørte at Arkelaus var konge i Judea efter sin far Herodes, fryktet han for å dra dit; men han blev varslet av Gud i en drøm og drog bort til Galilea.

cze A uslyšev, že by Archelaus kraloval v Judstvu místo Herodesa otce svého, obával se tam jíti; a napomenut jsa od Boha ve snách, obrátil se do krajin Galilejských.

Matthew 2 :23

kjb And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.

nor Og han kom og tok bolig i en by som heter Nasaret, forat det skulde opfylles som er talt ved profetene, at han skal kalles en nasareer.

cze A přišed, bydlil v městě, jenž slove Nazarét, aby se naplnilo, což povědíno bylo skrze proroky, že Nazaretský slouti bude.

Matthew 3 :1

kjb In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,

nor I de dager stod døperen Johannes frem og forkynte i Judeas ørken

Matthew 3 :2

kjb And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

nor og sa: Omvend eder; for himlenes rike er kommet nær!

cze A řka: Pokání čiňte, nebo přiblížilo se království nebeské.

Matthew 3 :3

kjb For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

nor For det er ham profeten Esaias taler om når han sier: Det er en røst av en som roper i ørkenen: Rydd Herrens vei, gjør hans stier jevne!

cze Totoť jest zajisté ten Předchůdce předpověděný od Izaiáše proroka, řkoucího: Hlas volajícího na poušti: Připravujte cestu Páně, přímé čiňte stezky jeho.

kjb And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.

nor Men Johannes hadde klædebon av kamelhår og lærbelte om sin lend, og hans mat var gresshopper og vill honning.

cze Měl pak Jan roucho z srstí velbloudových a pás kožený okolo bedr svých, a pokrm jeho byl kobylky a med lesní.

kjb Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,

nor Da drog Jerusalem og hele Judea og hele landet om Jordan ut til ham,

cze Tedy vycházeli k němu z Jeruzaléma a ze všeho Judstva, i ze vší krajiny ležící při Jordánu,

Matthew 3 :6

kjb And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.

nor og de blev døpt av ham i elven Jordan, idet de bekjente sine synder.

cze A křtěni byli od něho v Jordáně, vyznávajíce hříchy své.

Matthew 3 :7

kjb But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

nor Men da han så mange av fariseerne og sadduseerne komme til hans dåp, sa han til dem: Ormeyngel! hvem lærte eder å fly for den kommende vrede?

cze Uzřev pak mnohé z farizeů a z saduceů, že jdou k jeho křtu, řekl jim: Pokolení ještěrčí, i kdo vám ukázal, kterak byste utéci měli budoucího hněvu?

kjb Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:

nor Bær derfor frukt som er omvendelsen verdig,

cze Protož čiňte ovoce hodné pokání.

Matthew 3 :9

kjb And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to [our] father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

nor og tro ikke at I kan si ved eder selv: Vi har Abraham til far! for jeg sier eder at Gud kan opvekke Abraham barn av disse stener.

cze A nedomnívejte se, že můžete říkati sami u sebe: Otce máme Abrahama. Neboť pravím vám, že by mohl Bůh z kamení tohoto vzbuditi syny Abrahamovi.

Matthew 3 :10

kjb And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

nor Øksen ligger allerede ved roten av trærne; derfor blir hvert tre som ikke bærer god frukt, hugget ned og kastet på ilden.

cze A jižť jest i sekera k kořenu stromů přiložena. Každý zajisté strom, kterýž nenese ovoce dobrého, vyťat a na oheň uvržen bývá.

Matthew 3 :11

kjb I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and [with] fire:

nor Jeg døper eder med vann til omvendelse; men han som kommer efter mig, er sterkere enn jeg, han hvis sko jeg ikke er verdig til å bære; han skal døpe eder med den Hellige Ånd og ild;

cze Já křtím vás vodou ku pokání, ten pak, kterýž po mně přichází, jestiť mocnější nežli já, jehožto nejsem hoden obuvi nositi. Onť vás křtíti bude Duchem svatým a ohněm.

Matthew 3 :12

kjb Whose fan [is] in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

nor han har sin kasteskovl i sin hånd, og han skal rense sin låve og samle sin hvete i laden, men agnene skal han brenne op med uslukkelig ild.

cze Jehožto věječka v ruce jeho, a vyčistíť humno své, a shromáždí pšenici svou do obilnice, ale plevy páliti bude ohněm neuhasitelným.

Matthew 3 :13

kjb Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

nor Da kom Jesus fra Galilea til Jordan til Johannes for å bli døpt av ham.

cze Tehdy přišel Ježíš od Galilee k Jordánu k Janovi, aby také pokřtěn byl od něho.

Matthew 3 :14

kjb But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?

nor Men han nektet ham det og sa: Jeg trenger til å bli døpt av dig, og du kommer til mig?

cze Ale Jan zbraňoval mu, řka: Mně jest potřebí, abych od tebe pokřtěn byl, a ty pak jdeš ke mně?

Matthew 3 :15

kjb And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer [it to be so] now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

nor Men Jesus svarte og sa til ham: La det nu skje! for således sømmer det sig for oss å fullbyrde all rettferdighet. Da lot han det skje.

cze A odpovídaje Ježíš, dí jemu: Dopusť tak; neboť tak sluší na nás, abychom plnili všelikou spravedlnost. Tedy dopustil jemu.

Matthew 3 :16

kjb And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

nor Men da Jesus var døpt, steg han straks op av vannet, og se, himmelen åpnet sig for ham, og han så Guds Ånd fare ned som en due og komme over ham.

cze A pokřtěn jsa Ježíš, vystoupil ihned z vody; a aj, otevřína jsou mu nebesa, a viděl Ducha Božího, sstupujícího jako holubici a přicházejícího na něj.

kjb And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

nor Og se, det kom en røst fra himmelen, som sa: Dette er min Sønn, den elskede, i hvem jeg har velbehag.

cze A aj, zavzněl hlas s nebe řkoucí: Tentoť jest ten můj milý Syn, v němž mi se dobře zalíbilo.

Matthew 4 :1

kjb Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

nor Da blev Jesus av Ånden ført ut i ørkenen for å fristes av djevelen.

kjb And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.

kjb And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

cze A přistoupiv k němu pokušitel, řekl: Jsi-li Syn Boží, rciž, ať kamení toto chlebové jsou.

kjb But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

nor Men han svarte og sa: Det er skrevet: Mennesket lever ikke av brød alene, men av hvert ord som går ut av Guds munn.

cze On pak odpovídaje, řekl: Psánoť jest: Ne samým chlebem živ bude člověk, ale každým slovem vycházejícím skrze ústa Boží.

kjb Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,

nor Da tok djevelen ham med sig til den hellige stad og stilte ham på templets tinde, og sa til ham:

cze Tedy pojal jej ďábel do svatého města a postavil ho na vrchu chrámu.

Matthew 4 :6

kjb And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in [their] hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

nor Er du Guds Sønn, da kast dig ned! for det er skrevet: Han skal gi sine engler befaling om dig, og de skal bære dig på hendene, forat du ikke skal støte din fot på nogen sten.

cze A řekl mu: Jsi-li Syn Boží, spustiž se dolů; nebo psánoť jest, že andělům svým přikázal o tobě, a na ruce uchopí tebe, abys někde o kámen nohy své neurazil.

Matthew 4 :7

kjb Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

nor Jesus sa til ham: Det er atter skrevet: Du skal ikke friste Herren din Gud.

cze I řekl mu Ježíš: Zase psáno jest: Nebudeš pokoušeti Pána Boha svého.

kjb Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

nor Atter tok djevelen ham med op på et meget høit fjell og viste ham alle verdens riker og deres herlighet og sa til ham:

cze Opět pojal ho ďábel na horu vysokou velmi, a ukázal mu všecka království světa i slávu jejich, a řekl jemu:

Matthew 4 :9

kjb And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

nor Alt dette vil jeg gi dig hvis du vil falle ned og tilbede mig.

cze Toto všecko tobě dám, jestliže padna, budeš mi se klaněti.

Matthew 4 :10

kjb Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

nor Da sa Jesus til ham: Bort fra mig, Satan! for det er skrevet: Herren din Gud skal du tilbede, og ham alene skal du tjene.

cze Tedy dí mu Ježíš: Odejdiž, satane; neboť jest psáno: Pánu Bohu svému klaněti se budeš a jemu samému sloužiti budeš.

Matthew 4 :11

kjb Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

nor Da forlot djevelen ham, og se, engler kom til ham og tjente ham.

cze Tedy opustil ho ďábel, a aj, andělé přistoupili a sloužili jemu.

Matthew 4 :12

kjb Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;

nor Men da han fikk høre at Johannes var kastet i fengsel, drog han bort til Galilea.

cze A když uslyšel Ježíš, že by Jan vsazen byl do žaláře, odšel do Galilee.

Matthew 4 :13

kjb And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:

nor Og han forlot Nasaret og kom og tok bolig i Kapernaum ved sjøen, i Sebulons og Naftalis landemerker,

cze A opustiv Nazarét, přišed, bydlil v Kafarnaum za mořem, v krajinách Zabulon a Neftalím,

kjb That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,

kjb The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, [by] the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;

nor Sebulons land og Naftalis land ved sjøen, landet på hin side Jordan, hedningenes Galilea,

cze Země Zabulon a Neftalím při moři za Jordánem, Galilea pohanská,

Matthew 4 :16

kjb The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

nor det folk som satt i mørke, har sett et stort lys, og for dem som satt i dødens land og skygge, for dem er et lys oprunnet.

cze Lid, kterýž bydlil v temnostech, viděl světlo veliké, a sedícím v krajině a stínu smrti, světlo vzešlo jim.

Matthew 4 :17

kjb From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

nor Fra den tid begynte Jesus å forkynne og si: Omvend eder; for himlenes rike er kommet nær!

cze Od toho času počal Ježíš kázati a praviti: Pokání čiňte; neboť se přiblížilo království nebeské.

Matthew 4 :18

kjb And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

nor Men da han vandret ved den Galileiske Sjø, så han to brødre, Simon, som kalles Peter, og hans bror Andreas, i ferd med å kaste garn i sjøen; for de var fiskere;

cze A chodě Ježíš podle moře Galilejského, uzřel dva bratry, Šimona, kterýž slove Petr, a Ondřeje bratra jeho, ani pouštějí sít do moře, (nebo byli rybáři.)

Matthew 4 :19

kjb And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

nor og han sa til dem: Følg mig, så vil jeg gjøre eder til menneskefiskere!

cze I dí jim: Pojďte za mnou, a učiním vás rybáře lidí.

Matthew 4 :20

kjb And they straightway left [their] nets, and followed him.

nor Og de forlot straks sine garn og fulgte ham.

cze A oni hned opustivše síti, šli za ním.

Matthew 4 :21

kjb And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

nor Og Jesus gikk omkring i hele Galilea og lærte folket i deres synagoger og forkynte evangeliet om riket og helbredet all sykdom og all skrøpelighet blandt folket,

cze I procházel Ježíš všecku Galilei, uče v shromážděních jejich a káže evangelium království a uzdravuje všelikou nemoc i všeliký neduh v lidu.

kjb And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.

Matthew 5 :1

nor Salige er I når de spotter og forfølger eder og lyver eder allehånde ondt på for min skyld.

cze Blahoslavení jste, když vám zlořečiti budou lidé a protivenství činiti, a mluviti všecko zlé o vás, lhouce, pro mne.

Matthew 5 :12

kjb Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great [is] your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

nor Gled og fryd eder! for eders lønn er stor i himmelen; for således forfulgte de profetene før eder.

cze Radujte se a veselte se, nebo odplata vaše hojná jest v nebesích. Takť zajisté protivili se prorokům, kteříž byli před vámi.

Matthew 5 :13

kjb Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

nor I er jordens salt; men når saltet mister sin kraft, hvad skal det så saltes med? Det duer ikke lenger til noget, uten til å kastes ut og tredes ned av menneskene.

cze Vy jste sůl země. Jestliže sůl zmařena bude, čím bude osolena? K ničemuž se nehodí více, než aby byla ven vyvržena a od lidí potlačena.

kjb Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

nor I er verdens lys; en by som ligger på et fjell, kan ikke skjules;

cze Vy jste světlo světa. Nemůžeť město na hoře ležící skryto býti.

Matthew 5 :15

kjb Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

nor en tender heller ikke et lys og setter det under en skjeppe, men i staken; så skinner det for alle i huset.

cze Aniž rozsvěcují svíce a stavějí ji pod kbelec, ale na svícen; i svítí všechněm, kteříž v domu jsou.

Matthew 5 :16

kjb Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

nor La således eders lys skinne for menneskene, forat de kan se eders gode gjerninger og prise eders Fader i himmelen!

cze Tak svěť světlo vaše před lidmi, ať vidí skutky vaše dobré, a slaví Otce vašeho, jenž jest v nebesích.

Matthew 5 :17

kjb Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

nor I må ikke tro at jeg er kommet for å opheve loven eller profetene; jeg er ikke kommet for å opheve, men for å opfylle.

cze Nedomnívejte se, že bych přišel rušiti Zákon anebo Proroky. Nepřišelť jsem rušiti, ale naplniti.

Matthew 5 :18

kjb For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

nor For sannelig sier jeg eder: Før himmel og jord forgår, skal ikke den minste bokstav eller en eneste tøddel forgå av loven, før det er skjedd alt sammen.

cze Amen zajisté pravím vám: Dokudž nepomine nebe i země, jediná literka aneb jediný puňktík nepomine z Zákona, až se všecky věci stanou.

Matthew 5 :19

kjb Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

nor Derfor, den som bryter et eneste av disse minste bud og lærer menneskene således, han skal kalles den minste i himlenes rike; men den som holder dem og lærer andre dem, han skal kalles stor i himlenes rike.
