    H.A.N.D - Michael Eaborn

    Prologue

    [TEN YEARS AGO]

The City of Raleigh was nothing but rubble. Buildings that once stood, now were nothing but memories. Michael and Ryein stood in front of Possessor. Their clothes were torn. Blood escaped their mouths. Possessor was in worse condition. He was missing an arm. His body covered in blood from open cuts. Ryein began chanting the Curse Enchantment. Michael began gathering all of his energy.

Michael and Ryein threw the ball at him. There was a bright explosion. They won the war. Graham pulled up in a car. Michael and Ryein got in. As they pulled off, the car exploded.

    [7 Years Later]

My name is Nick  Fletcher. I grew up in Salisbury, North Carolina. My Parents were Michael and Ryein Fletcher. I would say that I have a normal life but I can’t. I am a Hero. My Father and Mother were part of a group called HAND. They were a hero group that fought against demons and other spirits. My Father was the Chosen One. He was the one that defeated Possessor, the brother Satan. The only problem is that a Portal has opened to the Underworld. Man’s greatest fears have now found a way to resurface. HAND has began it’s recruitment process. I am the one who must continue the Legacy of my parents.

    Chapter One

T uition is due at the beginning of the next Semester, said my English teacher, Jackie Long.

As she said those words, we were excused to leave. I put my books in my bag and headed out the classroom. It was a beautiful sunny day in Salisbury. For such a dangerous city, it sure seemed peaceful. As I made my way down the staircases and outside, I walked by a girl who wore black rimmed glasses and seemed lost. I approached her. She was holding a yellow sheet of paper.

    Everything okay?

No. I need to find the Admissions Office. Do you know where it is?, she asked as she pointed to her paper.

Yes. It’s in building A. First door on the left, I instructed.

    Thanks. I’m Caroline Smith.

I'm Nick Fletcher. Catch you later.

I walked out the door and into the parking lot. Students were driving in and out of the lot. I made my way to my Black Corvette and got inside. I turned the car on and fastened my seatbelt. I switched the radio on. Mr. Brightside was playing. I put the car in reverse and pulled out of the parking spot. I then drove carefully out of the parking lot and onto Department Road. I loved twenty minutes from my Studio Apartment. My rent is paid for by my parent’s inheritance. HAND also helps me out with legal situations. At the moment, my life is pretty easy. I pulled up to my apartment and turned the car off. As I grabbed my bag, I noticed a note on the floor. I picked it up and opened it.

    Hi Michael,

We have received a message from Anthony Johnson that a small portal is being formed in Raleigh, North Carolina. We are writing to tell you to keep an eye out for danger. Best wishes, Chrystal Peterson, Landlord.

I toss the note on the floor  and left the car. I unlocked my apartment door and went it. I lived alone. I didn’t even own any pets. I put my bag on the ground and went over to my bed. I plopped myself on it and fell asleep. As I was sleeping, I had visions of darkness. I looked around me. Everything was dark. As I walked around, I could hear demonic laughing. I looked around frantically. No one was there. I began to get cold. I could feel cold air hit my face. I stopped walking. In front of me was
