Chapter 1: Introduction
First of all, I want to thank you for choosing this book, ‘Time Management and Productivity’ and hope you find it helpful in your quest to manage your time and improve your productivity.
In today’s competitive world, we are expected to remain sharp and focused and deliver our best, at all times. We are expected to do so many things every day, at work, at home, in our communities. But our time is limited. Time is a finite resource, we all have the same amount of it. It doesn’t matter if you are rich or poor, have a Harvard degree or never finished high school. You may be extraordinarily intelligent or not, attractive or not, self-confident or not. If there is anything that makes us humans really equal then it’s this: We all have the same 1,440 minutes every day. Not one second more. The only question is: How are you going to spend this treasure? How are you going to make the most out of it and really achieve whatever you want to achieve?
This book presents 40 practical tips which will help you improve your time management skills and your overall productivity. Some of the most important sources of these tips are listed in Chapter 6. To save you the time of reading these (and many more) books, I have carefully selected the best tips, put them in context and explained them in a comprehensive yet concise manner.
In the literature on time management and personal productivity you will find many approaches that
