This book is dedicated to my parents, Janette and Elias. Thank you for everything you do for me. I love you more than the whole world. When I was two days old, the doctors told you to put me away and forget about me. They said I would not walk or talk or do what other kids do. They painted a very sad picture of my life and my future. Thank God you said I was a gift from God and would never, ever give me away. Mom, I love it when you say I am your MPG most precious gift. Dad, we are partners forever. Thank you for having me in this world and always telling me I am a gift from God.

To my special Auntie Ad (Addie) and the best co-founder in the whole world: When I was growing up, you were like a second mom to me. Now we are like brother and sister. We are tight and best friends forever. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in me. I am so grateful you listened to me. We believe in each other. We will always be there for each other. I love you more than the whole world.

Editor’s Message

Reading Robert’s journals showed me a life rich with joy, accomplishments and divine guidance. He sees beyond the physical part of our world. Many energy healers see colours (different frequencies of energy vibrations) the way he does. His world is resplendent in colours, rainbows, divine presence, and a real love of life. Robert was surprised to learn that not everyone sees God like he does. He said maybe it was because he has Down syndrome, and perhaps it is. Perhaps our socialized perspectives keep us from being open to such experiences.

My challenge, was how to treat the language so that his message would not be flavoured by my world view. I wanted to render untarnished the rich images his words made in my mind, that others might share my experience – to see with an open heart like he does. So, I stepped back, placed my editor’s ego on the shelf, and let Robert’s writing stand mostly as it was written, only removing some ands and thens, or adding punctuation. He made the numbered lists. To distinguish a day’s entry, it appears as a paragraph, even when it encompasses diverse thoughts or dialogue, separated by a double space. This book has excerpts from Fall 2010 to Summer 2014 journals, and its undated entries are ordered chronologically within each theme.

Some turns of phrase, such as my life and my feelings are getting closer, gave me pause, but made sense when his wishes coming true are viewed as visioning and manifesting. Overall, the writing has the simplicity of truth and is authentically profound.

Robert, I am so grateful you chose me to work with you on this great project. Like the best kind of leader, your example inspired me to realize that I, too, love my life.

Foreword

This is a beautiful book written by a very beautiful man:

A man of faith

A man who prays

A man to whom God speaks

A man who loves to speak to large audiences

A man who loves the ordinariness of life, swimming with his dad and eating well

A man who loves life.

He was born with a chromosome defect; that is why some people mock and look down on him, as if he is a useless person. He is different in some ways, but by his book he is revealing that we are all the same. We too can open our hearts and learn to love life and to love people.

Robert is a child of God who helps us see this world in another way. He sees it enfolded in a rainbow, a place of colours; a world where we can all grow in love, where we can all become peace makers accepting – with great respect and affection – others who appear different.

He loves life.

Colours

Your true colours glow in your heart as the light of God, showing your life and your feelings. They make your special Rainbow and when you see them, you make a wish and it comes true.

My talk with Auntie Ad: The colours of Heaven mean:

Red is flesh and blood;

Faith is yellow;

Green is hope;

Blue is Ideal Way.

Mary said faith is wonderful, hope is great. Mary took a special picture of a rainbow. She said, Count the rainbow. It was three special symbols of our lives. It was very special to her, Mary told me these colours are the ones for us to focus.

The Son of God talked to me about His true colours and He said, "The red is I, the yellow D, blue is E and other colours A and L. That’s the true colours. It means Ideal Way is here.

Mary said, Pray for me. And she blessed me and called me, My holy son, come to see your colours of a rainbow. My life is the rainbow. Mary said, Talk to God about your feelings.

My life is here.

I share my friendship with everyone.

God said I was very important to Him.

I have a heart. It touched His life.

That’s my feelings, I said to God. He told His Holy Family about me. The Son of God put His holy hands on my head and He blesses me everyday."

My true colours are red, yellow, blue and green. The red is flesh and blood and yellow is God’s light. Blue is Ideal Way and green light is loving God. Those are my true colours. Also, I had a dream about it. My life is getting much better.

When we came home, I saw a bright rainbow and I looked at it and made a wish. I saw God’s colours. It was very special.

The colour red is our flesh and blood. That’s our colour. Also, yellow is the gold of the heart. The true colours were in my mind.

I saw a special light in my room. It was a star, and I made a special wish. It came true. Also, I made it happen. Ideal Way is here and my rainbow came up and it shone on me, telling me that it is a great sign. Red – flesh and blood; yellow is God’s light; green is making a wish to come true and blue is Ideal Way. That’s the colours we have. We call it our holy rainbow. We put my whole family in it and our hearts. We become the rainbow family.

When I look at the rainbow, I see true colours. And when I see a white cloud, I see God’s wings floating. The sky was blue and that’s Ideal Way. I saw angels talking about me all the time. They gave me glory to pray for them. They said, Glory to God. It’s your Holy Family. We are here for you. Bless us and pray for us. And when they saw angels, they sang a special song and the song was that God is in our hearts and soul. They were crying, so I told them, Listen to your heart and tell it to our Holy Family.

I saw my true colours. It was amazing. You should see it. It glows in my heart. And when I made a wish, it came true. God was right, the light of God is here already and Ideal Way is here. Our prayer is answered. Our rainbow and the holy star are blessed.

I saw a white dove in the blue clouds and I made a wish. And, I saw my true colours. Also, I told the angels that I love my life. When I say that, that makes my true colours. The star was glowing in my heart and it became holy. And the rainbow appeared. And that was my whole life.

When I was dreaming, I was in the blue clouds and I saw a white dove and the angels. Also, I saw a special light. It was light and bright. It was white.
