Andres began writing short stories and poetry around the age of six, sharing the love, laughter, tears and family tales that have forever colored her world with hope and dreams for the future generations. Mother of three, she has nine more children she calls her own, grandmother to eight plus twenty-two more, and she loves sharing that she is a great-grandmother, too.
Having several published works of poetry, Andres was recipient of the Editors Choice Award from the International Library of Poetry in November 2003. Poetry has been a mainstay of her writing focus, and she continues to delight readers with her lyrical prose.
Previously employed as a teacher for various vocational schools, she also served in administrative capacities in the medical field. Andres is now embarking on fulfilling her dream to share her stories with the world. Offering short stories and poetry, she is holding tight to a hope of seeing her very own novel published one day.
Outside of her writing endeavors, Andres is a proficient weaver of homespun artistry with extraordinary offerings that include mixed media textiles of hand woven offerings of crocheted and knitted items, alongside a cavalcade of eye catching oil paintings.view less
