He has been on short-term missionary projects to Germany, Spain, Italy, South Africa, Belgium, and the United Kingdom. He is an international conference speaker and has authored several Christian books. He has yearly church growth conferences in Africa, Europe, and the United States. Dr. Bonnie Etta is happily married to the first lady, Pastor Estella, and are blessed to be the parents of four sons who are very committed to the ministry. Preface

Know what you want in life and go for it with all your spirit. Be determined to avoid the distractions in life. Be prepared to fight through the storms of life. Make up your mind to realize your dream no matter what it takes.

Hard work without appropriate knowledge only results to unprofitable labor and wasted years. Un-invested intelligence is as an un-mined field. Wise investment and commitment are intelligent steps towards recreating your future and becoming your dream. It will take a healthy head and a healthy heart to produce a healthy and fruitful life; and only a healthy life can cautiously plan, pursue and walk towards a well defined future.

Nelson Mandela is our twenty first century example; he stood the test of time and defied all oppositions, obstacles and suffering; nothing could kill or replace his dream.

In my twenty three years of teaching and counseling, and extensive traveling across the continents; I have come to understand that success is not determined by one’s nationality or family name. Nobody can inherit success, you have to work it out as well as learn how to develop and maintain it.

You can become your dream: this book is a divine provision to assist you with divine intelligence and to develop in you the right attitude and courage towards realizing the dreams of your heart.

Don’t give up; you can become your dream.

One day I decided to quit, I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality. I wanted to quit my life.

I went to the woods to have one last talk with God. God, I asked, Can you give me one good reason why I should not quit? His answer surprised me... Look around, He said. Do you see the fern and the bamboo? Yes, I replied. When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them. I gave them light. I gave them water.

The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo. In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful. And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo. He said. In year three there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit. In year four, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. I would not quit. He said.

Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant...But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall. It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive. I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle.

He asked me. Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots. I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on you. Don’t compare yourself to others. He said. The bamboo had a different purpose than the fern. Yet they both make the forest beautiful. Your time will come, God said to me. You will rise high How high should I rise? I asked. How high will the bamboo rise? He asked in return. As high as it can? I questioned. Yes. He said, Give me glory by rising as high as you can. I left the forest and brought back this story…

I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you. Never give up on your dream. Don’t tell the Lord how big the problem is; tell the problem how Great your God is!

CHAPTER ONE

God’s Dream for You

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified*

GOD’S DREAM FOR YOU

I am a father of four sons, I call them world changers, and these children are precious to me. My heart yearns for the joy, success and wellbeing of my Children. Isn’t it wonderful to consider our heavenly father’s dream for us his children? It’s time to take hold of the Father’s vision for your life. I want us to examine His heart beat for you personally.

The scriptures clearly reveal to us the Father’s heart, and deepest desire for His children:

For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.*

You are special before the Lord; you are distinguished from all other creation around you. For the Lord has chosen you to be holy, separated unto Him. You should know the place and value God placed on you, you are God’s ultimate heart’s desire, and without you the love of God has no meaning. Without you the whole creation has no value, for you are God’s master-piece on earth.

You are created by design, as He is so are you in Christ Jesus, created in His own image and likeness. You are so special, chosen, unique and distinguished; Separated unto the will of the Lord for His divine pleasure. You are not a product of evolution. Your life has a special purpose and that is fulfilling God’s desire; being one with God for his purpose for humanity and eternity.

"The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee".*

Can you hear the Lord singing a love song to you? He is saying, ‘I Love you with everlasting love, He is saying to you, my son, my precious daughter, my love for you has no limit. You are the reason for all creation.

The Father wants you to

personally experience His infinite love.

You are loved. His love is not based upon your good deeds and accomplishments. His love is based upon who you are. You are precious and priceless. You are the reason for all creation; you are the heart beat of God.

God wants you to receive his love, accept his love for you, personally. His gift for you is His love. His love comes along with his mercy and compassion. His grace brought to us the gift of His Son; His Son brought to us the gift of eternal life, eternal life brought to us all that pertain to life and godliness. Eternal life brought to us the gift of the abundant life through His word.

This is the greatest manifestation of love. You are loved; you are the beloved of the Lord. Your love is the greatest worship He requires from you. Walk in His love, dwell in His love and shine forth His love to the world around you. Love that is concealed is dead, love can not be hidden. Love is like yeast, a little leaven, leaveneth the whole lump.* Affect your world with His love. Be possessed with the spirit of the love of God. Think love, dream love, speak love and display the love of God. Love is care.

God revealed and demonstrated his love through Christ Jesus. God demonstrates his love for us everyday of our lives, for His mercies are new everyday. Great is His faithfulness.

How do you manifest love?

How do you demonstrate the love of God which you have received, to your friends, family and community? Find ways to express the love of Christ daily; make it a duty just to show someone that Jesus loves them through you. Your world is yearning for the love of Christ through you. Share love to the staving world.

The greatest cure to our world’s problems is genuine love. People are sick of the lack of love. There is hate everywhere, the news media all day long feed the public with disasters and conflicts, and little good news is presented through the mainstream media stations. In Christ there is real love.

Love is taking care of the poor and needy.

Love is reaching out to widows and orphans.

Love is sharing your faith with someone.

Love is caring for the abused and rejected.

Love is feeding the hungry.

Love is assisting an abandoned child with school fees.

Love is being in partnership with ministries for the salvation of souls.

Love is healing hearts, wiping tears and giving hope.

Love is giving a smile to someone in pain.

His dream is to see you love as He has loved you.

Just love, let’s love.

Through love, give someone the reason to celebrate life.

Through love, lift up a broken and bruised soul.

Through love, embrace a lonely and disappointed child.

Through love, share your joy with the oppressed and the poor.

God wants you to experience his power and glory.

"The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power".*

Our God is the Almighty God, yet many live as if the Lord God is not able to perform. It is sad to say that many children of God have not seen the power and the glory of the God they believe in. You are not just called to believe in the power of God but to demonstrate that power daily as you deal with challenging situations of life, Child of God; it is His heart’s desire for you to carry his power and to see Him manifest His power and glory in and through you to positively affect change in your community.

His dream is to see you empowered by his infinite supernatural miracle working power. You were not born to live helpless, hopeless and powerless.

God is glorified in you when you walk and live endued with the heavenly power for the advancement of the kingdom of God on earth.

Powerless Christianity is dead religion.

A powerless Christian is a victim and a noise maker, the works of the wicked will continually advance in our world because of empty religious Christianity that has no power to break down the kingdom of darkness. God wants to empower you to do exploits and better represent Him
