    Saying Yes to His Proposal

    When I proposed to my wife it was very well thought out and planned.  We had already discussed marriage and we knew that eventually we would marry.  I wanted to make this proposal special, memorable, and different than any other proposal I had heard of.  The day started with us going to church together followed by orchestra seating for the stage play, The Color Purple. Afterwards, I had reservations for us at Ruth’s Chris Steak House.  Unknown to her, I hired a photographer to hide out and take pictures of the moment.  The whole restaurant staff was aware of what was going on.  Our waiter was given six individually wrapped roses, each of a different color, and with a poem attached to it.  The last rose was her favorite color, pink, and that one had the engagement ring attached to it.  Everyone talked about how romantic and thoughtful it was.  Of course she accepted my proposal, not because of the romantic gestures, but because of my proven love for God and my ability to give her all that I had
