Before divulging the message God gave me, I first need to acknowledge the person who made this book relative to me, my wonderful husband. Marvin and I met in 2005 formally and have not missed a beat since. I can promise you that our marriage has not been perfect, but what I can say is that we have been there with each other, bringing meaning to the vows we shared on our wedding day. July 25, 2009, was absolutely one of the best days of my life. It was our wedding day. The venue was perfect for my vision of the day, the wedding party was all in line and looked amazing, over 500 guests in attendance, family and friends from all over. I often ask God to never erase that memory from my mind because it truly has been a piece of glue when times are challenging. So, at the start of this book, again let me say to my Husband of 12 years (probably 13 by the time this is published), my best friend, my lover, my confidant, prayer partner, my personal song writer, my encourager, the one who made me a mother, and most of all, my DAILY forgiver (because I can be stubborn) . . . I LOVE YOU and thanks for playing football with me all these years (shout out to DryBar Comedy). I appreciate all that you do and all that you have been for me and our family. I thank God for sending you into my life just at the right moment. Today, I can truly appreciate every time you’ve said yes and every time you’ve said no. I pray God continues to grow us closer and closer and guides us on his mission for us for this very season.

Although this is a marriage book, I can’t dare skip saying something about my five wonderful children. On the day I began to write this book, they were unusually quiet and really just gave me the space I needed as God gave me the words to write.
