“And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do…”

UNDERSTANDING TIMES AND SEASONS

In the book of Ecclesiastes it says that time. But do we understand the time – your God-ordained time? What time is it spiritually? What time it is prophetically? What is God saying about this time that you are in? Just as there are seasons in the natural, there are also seasons in the spirit. As spiritual people we must find out what time it is spiritually. The sons of Issachar were men that had understanding. Understanding is the ability to comprehend, become aware, and have good insight. It was a difficult time in Israel. There was confusion after the death of Saul. The sons of Issachar had analysed the times. They knew what to do because they flowed to the rhythm of God’s heartbeat. They had spiritual insight and knew that God said in Genesis 49:10 that the sceptre would not depart from Judah. In Matthew 21:18 Jesus came to the fig tree and cursed it because it did not understand the season it was in, nor did it understand its purpose for that season. There are many seasons in life that we have to go through. The key to being effective in your season is to understand and recognise which season you are in. Do you understand the time that you are living in? It has been prophesied from the time of eternity what the year 2020 has in store for you. This year is yours to discover and recover. Don’t allow the blessings and breakthroughs that God has ordained for you this year to elude you. This season, co-operate with God as He orchestrates your seasons and times. This is your time and season – own it.
