INTRODUCTION

Sometimes we aspire to make an impact on the world. Regrettably, we generally have no idea where to begin. Are there hints in daily life experiences that will launch us into a strategy or is there a grandeur event just waiting to happen? Fortunately, we have opportunities in our everyday lives to understand great mysteries and witness miracles! In the next several pages you will explore how the everyday life of Francis transforms the mind of her sister.

God walks with Francis in her journey that breathes life to others as she lives out the Word of God. Her curiosity refuses to be quieted by society or even her own logic. Consequently, Francis finds herself wanting to understand more and more about God’s will and way. In this episode, Francis constantly gauges what she shares with others to prevent annihilating herself from her closest companions. No matter how perplexing, Francis quest to understand the most difficult questions are only satisfied by God. By way of casual conversation, Francis impacts the world around her.

I t began. Francis. Francis. Earth to Francis. You just sort of drifted away. Your mind was not here AT ALL. Trying to clear my head, I began to tightly close my eyes then stretched them wide. Taking a deep breath and then refocusing, my mind drifted back to the usual crew which occupied the soft pastel yellow sunroom. There assembled were two puppies, a bird, several house plants, her sister, and an open Bible. The two puppies, miniature schnauzers named Bentley and Jaxson, were patiently sitting on the floor looking up – just waiting for any hint of movement from me. Full of curiosity, their heads were tilted perfectly at a uniformed 45-degree angle as if wondering what was going on.

It was easy to get lost in thought when sitting in the sunroom. There was always something therapeutic about that room. The open area filled with warm shades of yellow and soothing blues just made you relax. Maybe it was because the sunroom faced the bayou that flowed directly behind the house. Most days there was a consistent flow of waves that gently rippled along as the wind softly blew. And no matter what seemed to be on your mind, you would always seem to feel better once darting the door of the sunroom and plopping down in one of the oversized chairs.

So?…. Denise seemed to drag that word out longer than anyone else. How can such a small word be extended for such a long time? I questioned. Now, looking through the window I gathered myself. Judging from the water, the warm breeze was blowing from the southwest. I always made a mental note of the direction the wind was blowing. Taking a deep breath and slowly releasing, as if practicing a deep breathing ritual, I began to speak, "What a perfect day. I wonder what I should to be
