There at the table, He was my confidant, my counsellor, my helper, and my Lord. He filled every hole in my soul with His undeniable love and poured out His song of grace to soothe me. I was privileged and honoured to be sitting in His presence. The booth had become a place of blessing and He had become the beat of my heart.

 

Jesus was waiting for me, but I was nowhere to be found. I had put everything in front of the one who put me first. The one who gave His life so I could live. My priorities were misaligned as I let other things come before Him. He welcomed me into His presence, to come to His table where He spoke. He taught and He loved. He gave me everything I needed and more. I met Him at the table regularly as He healed my heart and transformed me with His Word. He became my safe place, my rescue and my friend as I showed up for Jesus, just as He showed up for me. Pancakes with Jesus became a daily thing, as He became first with me prioritizing Him over everything. At the table, I was changed, accepted and found, learning His ways, seeking His truth and transforming before Him. He is inviting you to the table. He set a place for everyone. He is putting you first and showing up for you. Come and sit with your Saviour, casting all your cares on Him. Come to the table. Come and feast with Jesus. He has set a place for you in His presence. Come and take your place.

INTRODUCTION

On 31st October 2013 I found myself in America pursuing the dream to work in women’s ministry, but on that day,

God was saying something completely different.

He said, ‘I want you to start writing books.’

I had never written a book in my life or even saw myself as a writer, but in my heart, I already had 19 outlines and titles for books that the Holy Spirit had been talking to me about.

I asked God, ‘How do I write 19 books?’

And His answer was, ‘Just start!’

So, I went to my local coffee shop and put pen to paper. The books seemed to come together really quickly and soon I had completed one, then two, then three, and I got to be the first recipient of a book that I didn’t even remember writing. Upon reading it, it seemed as if I was reading it for the very first time, and every book has been like that since.

So, be on the lookout for more books to come from

The Logan Series as He continues to ask me to write.

Pancakes with Jesus is a book for anyone wanting to be drawn into a deeper relationship with Jesus. Throughout this book allow Him to show you how to position Him as your

first love, to run to Him first, speak to Him first,

and to prioritise His presence over everything.

Chapter 1

SUNDAY ROAST

Igrew up in a home where we went to church, we went to Sunday school, and we sang in the church choir. Every Sunday morning was spent in church, listening to the preacher, singing in the choir, and meeting with the church community. The rest of the week was a free-for-all, school, friends, boys, drugs, alcohol, sex, everything but church. Christ had a place in my life and it was 10:30 a.m. on a Sunday morning. We met once a week where I pretty much repented of my entire week, let Him dust me off, only to be sent back out to do it all again.
