Foreword
WEIGHT LOSS is an on-going battle for me and women who are in search of magic bullets to shed excess fat. Most people think they can outsmart the body by simply reducing calorie intake and increasing activity. Unfortunately, those who have been on several diets know that the body makes it difficult to lose weight on a calorie-reduced diet, because it senses starvation and hangs on to fat for energy. Just ask Pinoy Biggest Loser contestants and they will tell you how frustrating it is to exercise ten times as much and eat ten times less, only to find out they have either gained weight or not lost a single pound.
Choosing what to eat for weight loss is daunting and confusing. While I consider healthful eating a matter of common sense, i.e., eating anything in moderation or simply selecting meals which use healthy cooking techniques and fresh/healthy ingredients; eating to lose weight is actually rocket science.
Four years ago, The Sexy Chef decided to invest in the (rocket) science of weight management and, thus, started our mutually beneficial, fruitful, and fulfilling relationship. Together, we are like mad scientists finding win-win
approaches to balance good taste and good health by using nutrient-dense and functional ingredients that actually urge the body to lose weight and creative food preparation techniques such as fortification, substitution, extension, and volumetrics.
Through the years, I have worked with many brilliant chefs who are all excellent at creating mouth-watering dishes that are truly world class. However, when it comes to creating original recipes that are just as tasty but also adhere to my very strict (rocket) science of weight loss, I consider Chef Barni of The Sexy Chef, in a league of her own.
Having said that, I am thrilled that you, the readers, get to share in the techniques and expertise of a company that has, for many years, made it their business to help countless people lose weight conveniently. The Sexy Chef Cookbook will show you how to make healthy, delicious food for yourself and for people you care for the most. It is a compilation of the best techniques that The Sexy Chef has developed through the years, all in one place for the very first time.
For me and for The Sexy Chef, it is one of life’s simple joys to make healthy food taste great. I hope that The Sexy Chef Cookbook can help create a framework for your new healthy and joyful lifestyle.

Introduction
Thoughts become things. If you can see it in your mind, you will hold it in your hand.
— Bob Proctor, motivational speaker
For some, these lines may sound like positive-thinking mumbo jumbo. But every time someone asks how our health food delivery company came to be, this quote always come to mind.
Once upon a time, in front of their grandmother’s dresser mirror, two little girls held hair brushes in their hands like microphones and pretended to be the hosts of a TV show called The RB Show.
They would lose
