VeganLife meets… Josie Clemens

For the first time ever, a vegan chef took part in the show — that inspirational food creator was Josie Clemens, hailing from the US. With big dreams and an even bigger heart, Josie sparks change wherever she goes, and is well on her way to becoming one of the most exciting chefs in the world. We caught up with the passionate vegan about all things Hell’s Kitchen, and how to shatter anyone’s doubts about plant-based food.

Hey, Josie! What made you first fall in love with cooking?

I fell in love with cooking because it meant that people gathered. I was never terribly interested in making food until I saw my uncle, Elwin, working his ass off to prepare brisket for 40 people and at least six sides one Thanksgiving. I was like, oh, I guess this DIDN’T just magically appear. Please, forgive my six-year-old brain
