Summer Holiday
Sparkling Blue Sea
What an exciting day in the magical kingdom, Sir Paddy and all his friends are going on a summer holiday to the seaside today. Sir Paddy is a very handsome Westie knight who shares the garden with his good friend Commando Kit, a Special Forces elite snail, Eos his Guardian Angel, Lancelot his trusted steed, Greg and Brian the unicorns, Andy Bear, the snail troop, and of course the very silly chicks, who were always getting into mischief.
Everyone was very excited on this beautiful morning, and Danny, the head snail, was on his way to the chick house to make sure the silly chicks had packed everything they needed for the holiday.
Oh no, I can’t find my rubber ring,
cried Fluffy the silly chick. All the other silly chicks were pointing and laughing at Fluffy because he already had his ring on.
Look, you are wearing it,
said Chirpy, the leader chick.
Oh,
said Fluffy. What’s this cord for?
Just at that moment the door opened and Danny, the head snail, rushed into the chick house.
Stop! If you pull the cord the ring will inflate and we will not be able to get you out of the door,
cried Danny. This made all the silly chicks laugh again.
Look Fluffy, mine is in my bag,
said Cluck, another silly chick. And the other two silly chicks, Beaky and Sparks, also pointed to their bags with the rubber rings in. Fluffy felt very silly indeed because the other silly chicks had been laughing at him, and now Danny was grinning too.
I wanted to have my rubber ring ready, so as soon as I can see the sea I can run into the waves, but I am going to put my ring in this small bag and carry it,
said Fluffy. All the other silly chicks agreed, and had already put theirs in a small bag too.
Right, Commando Kit has the coach ready to load the luggage, and Sir Paddy wants us all to be ready to leave in the next 15 minutes,
said Danny, who went to open the door of the chick house ready for the silly chicks to leave. One by one they all left the chick house with Fluffy last. He turned round to Danny and gave him a big cheeky grin, then walked straight into the door. Fluffy bounced off the door and bumped into Sparks, who then bumped into Beaky, who bumped into Cluck, who finally bumped into Chirpy. The silly chicks were rolling all over the grass outside, which made Danny laugh out loud.
The Sparkle Garden is where the handsome Westie knight Sir Alfie lives with his trusted friend Special Forces elite snail Commando Boot. Together they look after the most beautiful Westie girls in the world, Lady Rosie and Lady Lily, with their Guardian Fairy Sunrise. Also in the garden is Sir Alfie’s trusted steed Alfonso, the jewelled baby unicorns Archie and Finley, the snail troop, and of course the fabulous girl chick squires – Miss Goldie the leader, Miss Razzle, Miss Dazzle, Miss Shimmer, and Miss Twinkle - the most cheeky.
Girls, are you all packed and ready to go?
asked Sunrise. Lady Rosie and Lady Lily barked excitedly and said together, Yes
Sir Alfie and Commando Boot are waiting at the bus, and Geoff (the head snail) has sent two of his men to help with the luggage.
Oh, I love the big red double decker bus,
cried Lady Rosie.
It is so much fun when Sir Alfie rings the bell, and Commando Boots sets off on our journey,
said Lady Lily.
All the girl chicks were already helping to organise snacks for the journey, and song sheets for everyone to have a singsong along the way. Everything was very well planned and ran smoothly, which was a complete contrast to Sir Paddy’s garden, and his very mischievous silly chicks.
I am so looking forward to seeing my good friend Sir Paddy again,
said Sir Alfie to Commando Boot, " and you must be pleased to be seeing Commando
