City Life
Luke went to stay with his friend Tony in the city.
I don’t think you’ll like it,
said Tony.
It’s really noisy and there’s no wildlife like in the country where you live.
We’ll see,
said Luke.
Oh, you have a dog. What’s his name?
Busy. Lets take him for a walk in the park.
In the park, Luke pointed out lots of different kinds of birds. Then they fed the ducks and saw a swarm of bees.
You see, there is wildlife in the city,
said Luke.
Yes, but isn’t it too noisy for you?
asked Tony.
A bit, but we also have very noisy tractors in the country!
Morning Wake-up Call
The first ray of sunlight hit the great oak.
Look, everything is starting up!
Tap tap tap tap,
tapped the woodpecker.
Caw, caw
went the crow.
Tweet-tweet,
sang the sparrow and her babies.
Twit-twoo,
shouted the owl.
Twee-twee,
cried the lark.
That’s enough!
exclaimed the mother hare angrily.
