Bedtime Stories - Ayush Rawat
The Butterfly
There was once a butterfly who was afraid of flying. She loved the color yellow so she always sat on the biggest yellow flower in the meadow. Although she loved the color yellow she never really liked pollen.
One day, on the day of the flower burstings (which happens on the hottest day of the year) pollen was bursting everywhere and all the butterflies came to the flowers for pollen.
The butterfly wasn't enjoying it so she went to the fence of the meadow and watched the butterflies enjoying themselves. When she saw a big yellow light which was the sun she flew towards it. All the butterflies saw her fly, fly like a moth.
All of them called for her. She came back and the butterflies told her that she flew like a moth. She was so surprised and then she understood why she likes some things that butterflies don't ,like yellow or pollen.
Moral-Everyone is different, but some more than others.
The Enviroment
One day a little girl was in her class learning about the environment. When she went home she drew a picture of someone planting a tree then another picture of a big tree.
One day she was sleeping and was woken up by thumps. When she looked outside a man was cutting down a tree.
The girl yelled, Stop! Stop cutting down trees!
And the man answered, Well there's plenty more!
Then the girl's mom called her in for breakfast. When she went out two men were cutting down trees.
The girl yelled, Stop! Stop cutting down trees!
And the men answered, Well there's plenty more!
Then she said ," No,there's none left! The men were ashamed then the girl thought of the pictures she drew, and showed the men.
The men bought twenty saplings and the girl, her friends and the men planted them.
Moral-You might think there's plenty but there might be none,
Take care of your world.
How The Penguin Got Its Beak
The little leopard ,hippo, bunny and penguin were playing together. The leopard decided they should go hunting for something they like. Hippo brought shells, bunny brought carrots, penguin got a bucket with fish and leopard brought her nice smelling, hot, sticky leaves.
The leopard decided if they all nice we should combine for something super nice. So penguin took the fish out and put bunny's carrots inside. They thought the bucket was too full so they mashed it to make carrot juice. After hippo put the shells inside leopard took the shells to put the leaves' scent on them.
Leopard walked up to the bucket penguin was holding but slipped then the shell landed on penguin's face on her nose. The leaves made it hard to take off and very hot so penguin ran until it could find a place cool enough.
She found a place saying the South Pole
and her nose cooled down. She could not breathe properly so she drilled holes in the shell. She couldn't catch fish so she also shaped them and called it a beak.
She was very happy where she was and that's the story of how the penguin got its beak.
