    DONATELLO THE CAMEL

    Nobody knew how old Donatello the camel was, only that he was getting tired and complaining more and more when he had to take tourists to the desert. So he used to stop halfway and sit quietly on the hot sand. There was no way to move it for minutes, and the tourists looked at it between annoyed and amused.

    – Wow with the character of this camel.

    Donatello the camel loved to stay near the oasis and chew on the straw: in, out, in, out. So until the straw had turned into a mushy mass that left him with sour, uncomfortable breath.

    He also liked children. If there were any in the tour group they always located them. They weighed little and laughed a lot. Everything surprised her: the shadows that the camel caravan cast on the dunes, the red color of the sun at sunset, the beetles that appeared and disappeared in the sand, or the sonorous and pestilential flatulence released by the camels.

    – But what filthy camels!

    The kids couldn't stop laughing at those farts and Donatello laughed with them. On desert nights, as parents ate dinner, took photos, and talked about the witty things adults talk about, Donatello entertained the children with his gestures and sounds.
