Chapter 1
How the Path was Opened
One day, a calf had to cross a virgin forest to return to the pasture. Being an incomprehensible animal, he carved a tortuous path, full of curves, going up and down hills.
The next day, a dog that was passing by used that same path to cross the forest.
Then it was the moment of a ram, head of a herd, who, seeing the space already open, made his companions continue there.
Later, the men began to use that path: they went in and out, turned left and right, descended, deviated from obstacles, complaining and cursing, for good reason.
However they did nothing to produce a totally new option.
After so much use, the path ended up becoming an extensive path where those with little money and animals tired under heavy loads, forced to cover a distance in 3 hours that could have been overcome in 30 minutes if they had not followed the path opened by the calf.
Several years have passed and the road has become the main street of a town and, later, the main avenue of a metropolis. Everyone complained about the traffic, since the route was the worst possible.
As long as the old and wise forest laughed, seeing that men have a tendency to continue as blind the path that is already open, without thinking, without ever wondering if that is the best choice.
It is simple to continue the marked path, however, only by following your own path will you end up leaving your mark.

- What happens? asked the oldest.
My mom passed away,
the woman said. She is home alone, on the other side of the stream, and I cannot cross. I tried, but the current drags me and I will never be able to reach the other side without help. I thought I would never see her alive again, however now, now that you have appeared, together you could help me cross...
I wish we could,
lamented the youngest of the monks. But the only way to help you might be to carry you through the flow of water, and our own vows of chastity prevent us from all contact with the opposite sex. We own it forbidden...sorry.
I'm also sorry,
the lady said and began to cry again.
The wisest monk knelt down, lowered his head, and simply commented:
— Go up.
The lady couldn't believe it, however she quickly took her bundle of clothes and climbed astride the monk.
With some complexity the monk crossed the flow of water, followed by the teenager. Upon reaching the other side, the lady descended and she approached the old monk with the intention of kissing her hands.
All right, all right,
said the
