I am married with 4 grown up kids, 3 granddaughters, and 2 grandsons. I was born in Surrey, and have lived in Derbyshire since 1980. I love animals and share the house with 3 westie girls Tilly, Daisy, and Holly, budgies and finches, and 2 tanks of tropical fish. I lost 2 westie girls in 2011, Rosie was nearly 17, and 5 months later Lily who was 15 and a half. I have always enjoyed writing, and particularly enjoyed writing ‘Paddy Stories’ which is in memory of Rosie and Lily, and my two friends westies Paddy and Alfie . It is a childrens book with the adventures of westies living in a magical kingdom. I have four books published - Paddy Stories, the second book ‘Paddy Stories – Magic of Christmas’, and the third book ‘Paddy Stories – Easter Parade’, the fourth book 'Paddy Stories - Summer Holiday' I am now working on 'Paddy Stories - Autumn Leaves' which I hope to publish in 2018. I have also been working on a trilogy of romantic novels. Book 1 is complete and I am working on book 2. Life is full and busy, and my writing is always a joy. Paddy Stories is also available from: Amazon Apple Kobo Barnes & Noble Diesel Sony Baker & Taylor Blio Baker & Taylor 360

This magical Christmas story tells of the adventures of some very special westies, who live in a magical kingdom far, far away. Sir Paddy is a very handsome and brave westie knight who lives in a beautiful garden, which he shares with his good friend Commando Kit, an elite Special Forces snail, his snail troop, and other magical friends. Sir Paddy’s squires are five very silly chicks who are always getting into some sort of mischief. His guardian angel Eos recently moved into the garden and lives in the Great Oak tree house.

It was the night before Christmas and the garden was quiet, not a silly chick was stirring and the stars shone bright. As Sir Paddy drifted off into a wonderful sleep in his comfy bed with the rainbow duvet cover, his thoughts floated back to the beginning of the week, and what an interesting week it had been indeed…

It was the 17th December and there was a chill in the air in the garden. There was a lot to do before Sir Paddy’s most favourite westie girls in the world, Lady Rosie and Lady Lily, arrived with their guardian fairy Sunrise on the 23rd. Tomorrow his good friend Sir Alfie, who was another westie knight, would be arriving to stay over the holiday period. Now Sir Alfie was a very good ice skater, and Sir Paddy had the brilliant idea to build an ice rink down by the magical stream. Sir Paddy had spent the morning with his good friend Commando Kit discussing the idea of the ice rink.

That sounds like an excellent idea Sir Paddy, and building the rink by the magical stream means we would have the water already and the magical unicorns will be able to turn it into ice, said Commando Kit.

I haven’t skated for a while myself, said Sir Paddy blushing slightly and clearing his throat with two small coughs continued, but once Sir Alfie arrives tomorrow, and the rink is built I will soon be doing jumps and spins on the ice.

Commando Kit nodded and then showed Sir Paddy the sketch he had just made of the ice rink.

That looks excellent Commando Kit. Do we have everything we need to build the ice rink?

Yes sir, there is plenty of wood down at the stables. Your steed Lancelot and the magical unicorns Brian and Greg keep me up to date on all supplies. I am going to brief my head snail Danny and his men to start moving the wood down to the magical stream ready to start work.

Commando Kit saluted to Sir Paddy then left for the shed.

Snow had started to fall in the Sparkle Garden, which is where the beautiful westie girls Lady Rosie and Lady Lily lived with their guardian fairy Sunrise. They had wrapped up well with warm bobble hats, baby pink for Lady Rosie and primrose yellow for Lady Lily, with matching coats and gloves. Both girls were wearing their new bright red dotty wellies.

Lily let’s go and chase the snow flakes.

Yes Rosie that sounds like fun.

The girls were running around in circles barking and wagging their tails.

Girls, be careful when you are out playing in the snow. It will soon be falling much heavier, and will also be falling in Sir Paddy’s garden later on, said Sunrise.

Oh Sunrise, we are so looking forward to staying at Sir Paddy’s for Christmas, cried Lady Rosie

Yes, can’t we go before the 23rd? asked
