WHO NEEDS REVIVAL?

Revival – the bringing again into activity and prominence or an evangelistic meeting intended to reawaken interest in religion has been the cry of many believers in the world today especially of African descent. But very few Africans have taken cognizance of the truth that diverse things happen in any revival move, especially where they are unchecked and misdirected. Misdirected? Yes. In the course of this work, you would understand what a misdirected revival represents. Such misdirected experience turned what was supposed to be an unleashing of the glory of God into an embellishment of monumental demonic aura upon the Assembly of God’s people and subsequently the entire world. If the scripture is true as it is, then we must identify with such truths as prophetic times and seasons for every region or continent of the world. These prophetic times and seasons are the determinant factors, as in where and what needs to undergo a revival. Nevertheless, considering the meanings of revival, I dare to differ from that opinion expressly because revival can be positive or negative. I am not and will never be a part of executing the plans of Satan under the cloak of setting Godly fires, which have been the bane of previous encounters. You might be tempted to ask, Sir, are you saying we shouldn’t pray down heaven or ask for another Azusa street experience? For those who had experienced Joel 2: 28 – 29, yes! But for those who are yet to, there is a process to follow. Our God is an orderly God, hence He emphatically told us in these scriptures;

We know that God doesn't listen to sinners, but he does listen to anyone who worships him and does his will.

When I was a child, I spoke like a child, thought like a child, and reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up my childish ways. (1 Cor. 13:11, John 9:31) ISV.

Our Lord’s response to the disciples when they sought to know about the seasons and times of the restoration of the kingdom to Israel is so clear and discernable to anyone acquainted with His voice; So far as human beings and the world system are involved, and considering our current position on God’s divine calendar, it is possible but unattainable for an entire local government to embrace the same salvation status quo just because one notorious evangelist lives within that zip code hence the scripture provides thus;

When the crop came up and bore grain, the weeds appeared, too. The owner's servants came and said to him, 'Master, you sowed good seed in your field, didn't you? Then where did these weeds come from?' He told them, 'An enemy did this!' The servants said to him, 'Then do you want us to go and pull them out?' He said, 'No, for if you pull out the weeds, you might pull out the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, "Gather the weeds first and tie them in bundles for burning, but bring the wheat into my barn.

(Matthew 13:26 – 30) ISV.

Our Lord Jesus Christ expected us to understand these simple principles of God so we can approach our divine calls and functions by applying shrewdness. I have heard of several servants of God within my locality that waited on God without result, ultimately there was an amiss in their waiting. Same as revival turned acrobatic deliverance meetings. I pray the Spirit of understanding be unleashed on you. Amen!

WHO THEN NEEDS REVIVAL?

The unchecked nature of revival, in light of the capacity, preparedness and circumspection of the seekers over what they sought and received, as to effectively run-along with the harvest from such revival meetings, makes it very dicey for us to delve into this spiritual exercise when merely triggered by some sort of spiritual hype. Words are very sensitive and form an integral part of our existence on earth, which is the more reason why they should be used with discretion noting the right time for their individual use. In addition, most of these revivalists are actually prophets of doom whose aim is to dampen the tinge of Gods glory noticed within any territory using the cloak of revival. The scripture warns;

Take no part in and have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds and enterprises of darkness, but instead [let your lives be so in contrast as to] expose and reprove and convict them. For it is a shame even to speak of or mention the things that [such people] practice in secret. But when anything is exposed and reproved by the light, it is made visible and clear; and where everything is visible and clear there is light. Therefore He says, (in Isaiah 26:19); Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine (make day dawn) upon you and give you light.

Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people),

Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil. (Eph 5:11-16) AMP.

Halleluyah!

With the multifaceted nature of revival, an unchecked and misdirected African experience can cause a lot of problems to her nations and people and eventually worsen the state of the entire world. It may even include bringing again into life and activity Africa’s dilapidated idols and their worship, or a reawakening of Africa’s sleeping and dead deities. The children of God ought to be wise and specific with their demands when they ask, seek or find to avoid incurring the bitter results of praying amidst. The technology boost we have experienced in the world so far, which has been instrumental to the world’s moral degradation and detachment of the sons of God from their creator was birthed by revivals that took place in the past. Even though it has greatly improved our living standards, its improvement steers a mammoth fraction towards damnation. The mayhem it has caused was never openly bargained for. As an African, I have not seen any serious Godly manifestation in my dear continent that needs to be revived. Instead of focusing our time on organizing revival meetings, why not teach the populace to engage on a steady developmental walk with God Almighty knowing we can never exhaust His generational deliveries. Africa can boast of having the largest number of church founders and ministers (majorly from a borrowed spiritual parentage, whose rooting is in its entirety questionable), but that has nothing to do with their spiritual inclination or relationship with the most high God just like our parents did. Their fruits are very clear for many to witness. By the dictates of divine installations ordered by prophetic times and seasons, any borrowed asset is a make-shift or shadow of the real deal. The bible is clear with the assertion that you know a thing by its fruit. The fruits that stare at our faces today from some of our different pulpits are typical examples of some trees known as antichrists. I, like so many of you out there have been longing for a move that would be birthed in Africa and probably transmigrates to other regions of the world. Earnestly, the Most High God longs for this and is shopping for men who would step up, seize the mantle soaked with the last days anointing and get on with the business of the now.

Notably in the world, we have distinctive races and tongues created by the same God with diverse specific peculiarities. He reaches out to all of them according to their various peculiarities and regions. So instead of seeking Africa’s revival, we should be asking for an established peculiar connection of the African continent to her maker who loved her to the extent of dying to save her from her accursed gentile-heritage. We ought to be praying for an invasion of God on the continent and everything that proceeds out of the loins of Africa. With the word of God already in place, there are specific apostles with the mandate to steer Africa’s liberation process which of course would spill to the other parts of the world. With the movement of divine pointers, I believe the End-Time apostles are in this region as it is vividly clear that the pointer right now rests in the African continent. If this happens, other regions of the world would have a spill-over of the manifestation of God’s invasion with an African identity (the gentiles they so looked down on), the scripture in Acts 26:17, 18, 20 confirms this.

Such an invasion would surely birth the world’s reconnection to her maker through the new Africa’s connection to God and surely cause the kingdom of darkness’ reprisal. It is a clear fact that the presence of Africans in other continents of the world surpasses the presence of citizens of other continents of the world in Africa. This will invariably be the last upsurge of God's manifestation in the world in such a manner, like never before.

No doubt God has been manifesting His power in the world right from the creation of man and his earth, but He had never and will not manifest beyond the magnitude He is permitted to by man. Yes, we know this! Even in the midst of our cries and search for revivals as recorded in the archives of history, He was still conditioned, and His invasion short-lived. By spiritual legalities, it is unlawful to invade man without our full express permission for such an invasion. Our permission level determines the level of emission of the Spirit and presence of God or the devil on us as par magnitude. Absurdly, we (i.e. believers and unbelievers alike) voluntarily offer the kingdom of darkness such express permissions to invade us always. The way and manner by which we gladly and woefully permit the kingdom of darkness’ invasionary access to the world tantamount to a total sellout hence the scripture: We know [positively] that we are of God, and the whole world [around us] is under the power of the evil one. (1 John 5:19 AMP).The above scripture is actually referring to our massive sell out of our spiritual authority over our spiritual and physical heritage. The devil who gladly bought the same has created a system known as the world, and as the new dominator, Satan has kept the same system under his power. On the contrary, we permit God’s access to us in trickles. But I am sure that with the wave of the impending outpour on Africa, this, I am not referring to anything you may have seen yet. But I tell you, it’s about to rain on the world through Africa. It may be the last upsurge of God’s manifestation. This is no revival show, but a colossal crumbling of the strongholds of the kingdom of darkness to bring about the manifestation of part of the revelations of John that will usher in the reign of the beasts as foretold in the same holy book; a tangible fulfillment of the revelation of John by the true sons of God whose charge is to manifest. I am so excited to be a part of it.

Remember, by reason of our Godly nature, we have the right to anything and everything we need at any time the need arises, in heaven and principally on earth. Although that right was lost through our ancestors, and its retrieval conditioned to be effective upon taking responsibility of our falls, forsaking them and accepting the perfect and complete cleansing and redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross. However, right from the Garden of Eden, we are known by both the kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness for portraying an attitude of irresponsibility to our faults. This makes it impossible for God to invade us without our express consent. Due to the mutual relationship that existed between God and man, it was normal for God to badge into man’s affairs without any prior permission. There were no withholding laws to that effect. But one day, after the devil had succeeded in deceiving man (but not dragging him into sin), Adam had to call God to order and plainly gave Him a new code of conduct in the Garden of Eden (which of course was in his charge), in a conversation that seemed as this; –

God: Adam where are you?

Adam :( Answers from a hideout) Yeah God we heard you and we hid ourselves because we were naked. It seems you’ve forgotten that you haven’t made any clothes for us yet. And please turn your back my wife is naked. (To Eve) Umm, Sweetheart please gather some of those leaves and cover yourself God is here.

God :( Shocked) Ah, Adam, how did you know you are naked? Have you eaten the fruit in the middle of the Garden I asked you not to eat? (Adam and Eve came out of hiding partially covered)

Adam: (Cuts in) Hey God let me express myself. I’ve been harbouring this for a very long time; this is a man’s world remember, and we are supposed to live the way we see fit. Anyway, the woman whom you gave to me offered me a handful to eat.

God: (Jesus tried to plead with Adam to stop the ill-mannered retortions, but God interrupted) No Son, let our son speak his mind.

Adam: Yes! Let me speak my mind. I hope you all (referring to the council of heaven) have not forgotten that I didn’t make her (pointing at Eve). You said you saw that I was lonely even though I didn’t tell you that and took my ribs without my permission and made her. You later joined us without my consent, and finally said no one should put asunder to that union. What now? At least I haven’t derailed on these aspects, have I? I never ate that tasteless fruit until she came with them, and I noticed a tag on her, what is good for the goose is good for the gander which of course sounds like your tagging. Even when I tried to resist, she reminded me of your injunction that nothing should separate us, was I supposed to disrespect your injunction? Or let the tasteless fruit cause me to do so? So you can talk to her and keep me out of your issues please. I have some work to do if you don’t mind. In fact, I need to go make my own clothes.

God: (surprised) Eve, what is this you have done?

Eve: (Trying to cover her privates, stuttered for a while then said) Well I am created for the man. I am asked to love him, care for him and minister to his needs and that’s exactly what I did. And hey God, just like my husband had said, and also I have been investigating this whole scenario since I saw myself in this garden, I have learnt you are always a busy body, making stuff for people who might not even need them. Sorry if that sounds a bit affront. (To Adam) - Adam what did you say the name of this guy is (pointing at the serpent),

Adam: Serpent

Eve: Yeah serpent, well, the serpent you created gave me to eat. I would not dare to pluck those fruits myself if he didn’t do it himself. And besides we don’t even need this dude (pointing at the serpent) around here, he is absolutely irrelevant to us. You should have allowed I and my husband to create the things we need ourselves and not making stuff for people.

Adam: (nodded in agreement, God stares in awe)

Eve:(Continues) Beside that, if Adam made me, he would have implanted some sort of GPS device in me to know when I’m listening to that dude (pointing again at the serpent) or maybe with his blackberry, he would have given me a. . .a . . .

Adam :( Nods in agreement and concurs) A ping.

Eve: Yes he would given me a ping on my blackberry or better still, follow my every move on twitter to know when I am eating and what I'm eating.

(God Nodded in ignominy and made His pronouncements, but decided to come to us when we knock, seek, or call on Him because of His undying love for man. He left with the rest of the council. Apart from praises from the host of angels, there was silence in heaven on the death of their most beloved council member - man. The council of God had a gloomy gathering as they made an alternative plan to rescue their love from Satan’s lies. It was a backstab from a lover to his Love.

We’re in a man’s world, for the Most High to rule in the kingdom of men, somebody must give Him that legal access, a body and platform. The same access we willingly offer the devil every second of our lives to hack us and make us miserable. Man just like computers has metamorphosed through his analog to digital and hybrid stage with his numerous demons to stay fit. However, he has only permitted God to manifest a bit in the analog stage of his life, the store up of the same little manifestation is what we have carried into the digital age which is the reason we struggle so much to live as the sons of God we are designed to be. We did witness these upsurges of God’s manifestation back then when everything about human beings was analogous. God in His infinite mercy has been sustaining us with the glory that was dropped from His throne to us then. Nevertheless,
