About this ebook

The glorious return of Jesus Christ is a certain and unavoidable fact that several events indicate the approach; however, the date and time are not known. I think that it might be on purpose that God let us in ignorance in this regard in order to stimulate our vigilance. My greatest wish is that it is used to open the eyes of all the believers who look forward to the day of abduction to realize in what era they live. If they are sleeping spiritually, it is time for them to wake up for the clock of time indicates that it is getting very late.

I also want this book to represent a last warning addressed to the rebels and the unbelievers that they need to settle their matters as quickly as possible by accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior for soon the world will be in distress.

Author

Rév. Wilguymps Charles

I dedicate it also to sister Chrisla Paul

I finally dedicate this book to all the members of Evangelical Baptist Church of the Redeemed who are my joy and my sorrows.

    PREFACE

I am thankful to my LORD Jesus for the privilege that He has given me to write this book. Like Ezekiel, I play the role of a sentry in this book. I felt compelled to alert people about the imminence of the coming of our LORD Jesus, and the consequences that will follow this return.

I have the honor to present this book to the general public. May it serve as a compass to guide people in the right direction!

I dedicate its pages to all those who need a stimulating factor to help them in their walk with God, and at the same time to keep them awake and watchful while awaiting the great day.

    To God be the glory!

    Rev. Wilguymps CHARLES

    INTRODUCTION

The study on the end of times is both a moving and also a very troubling theme that makes men uncomfortable and sometimes scared. Yet, the LORD Jesus Christ, shortly before His sufferings, His crucifixion and His resurrection, taught His disciples about the events of the end of times. He spoke to them regarding some warning signs that will mark these times. Leaving aside the period of the Church, the LORD Jesus spoke of what will take place between His coming to remove the saints and His return in glory on the earth; two separate and distinct events that are not to be mixed one with the other. During the abduction, Jesus will return specifically for His Church while on His glorious return, He will return with the Church to rule over the earth. At the Rapture, Jesus will remain in the air, but when He returns in glory, His feet will rest on the Mount of Olives where He would have been lifted up in presence of His disciples.

However, we live in a time of unrest and acute turmoil where we might wonder if we are not assisting, at the present time, to the prelude of the end of times as predicted, such as announced by the LORD Jesus Christ on the advent of the Son of Man according to the Gospel of Luke Chapter 21: 25-27. It is a matter of vital concern to the thoughts of many people and makes them reflect at the idea of finding the answer to this question. Then only a conscious assessment of what is happening around us will allow to arrive at a suitable and adequate response to actually determine in what time we are actually.

In the above verses, the LORD Jesus Christ, in His teaching, spoke about what will happen during His coming in glory to restore His earthly reign: "There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and the tossing of the sea. Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory."

The situation is about the same for us today as it was then, the world does not know for sure what will come out of the current disturbing events. Many think that we are moving toward a time of peace and security, but nobody knows exactly, and many live in fear and in amazement because of the uncertainties enveloping them. In fact, the Word of God clearly states: "While people are saying, Peace and safety, destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not scape." (cf. 1 Thessalonians 5:3)

In the presence of those natural and political upheavals, incredulous men will be uncomfortable and will not know what to do in the presence of things that will happen soon; they will remain in the dark about what will happen because they did not accept the Gospel, because they did not believe the truth when it was introduced to them during the time of grace, but yet what they portend, will cause them to tremble in fear. Then we will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. The LORD will come to judge His enemies and deliver His people. He finally told them: "When these things that are described in verses 25 and 26 of Luke Chapter 21 begin to happen, lift up your heads and look up because your salvation is near." However, if the wicked will tremble with fear because they do not know what will happen in the coming days, on the other hand the faith and hope of the believers strengthen more, for they see in these terrifying and unsettling circumstances that are announced, warning signs of their deliverance and their redemption.

The book you are now reading, my dear readers, is purely an eschatological approach that tends to explore and examine the signs of the last days in order to understand and situate in what era we live. Eschatology is a branch of Christian theology that deals with the things of the end of time. The word eschatology is made up of two Greek words [Escathos which means: the end or things of the end, and the word logos which means: study.] So the classic definition of the word eschatology is: Study of ideas, theological or philosophical doctrines relating to the destiny of man after the end of the world.

I know that there are many books that are already written on this theme, by renowned authors, who largely cover this aspect of Christian theology, but I believe and I find it useful to recall once more the imminence of the return of Jesus Christ and to raise awareness of all the consequences that will accompany this return. However I want, on the one hand, to encourage those who trust in God, who suffer from all the evils in this world and who are waiting for the appearance of their Master to be comforted and consoled, to be patient, to continue to keep the faith because their deliverance is near, and on the other side, I want to warn the doubters and scoffers to turn away from their evil ways, to abandon wickedness and choose the LORD and Savior Jesus Christ before it is too late, before the terrible days arrive and surprise them all, because they will certainly arrive. I want to prevent the unbelievers to avoid being trapped in the same position as the mockers of the past who were saying: "Where is this coming He promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation." (cf. 2 Peter 3:4)

In deed the Word of God clearly states that this day will come inevitably; whether you believe it or not, whether you are ready or not: "But the day of the LORD will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear
