Author

Rév. Wilguymps Charles

    DEDICATION

This book written on the theme "Matrimonial Crisis" is, first and foremost, dedicated to my family, and more particularly to my wife Jusleine Charles and my daughter Joanne Charles. I would like to thank them for their support, their patience and their encouragement during the writing of this book.

Secondly, I dedicate it especially to my nephew Reynolds Charles, who suggested and encouraged me to undertake the writing of this book, on this specific theme. For my part, I did not think of writing another book so fast, but he urged me to do so and I finally accept and respond positively to his request.

Then, as I have always done in all my other books, I dedicate it also to all the members of the Evangelical Baptist Church of the Redeemed (E.B.C.R.), a congregation I have been leading as Pastor for 26 years.

I finally dedicate it to all the members of my family, my brothers and sisters and to all my friends.

    PREFACE

I am thankful to the God Almighty from the bottom of my heart for having inspired me, for granting me the privilege, and for helping me in the writing this book. This book on marital crisis is the result of findings, statistics and research, mixed with a few years of experience that I myself have experienced in my conjugal relationship.

It deals with the different problems of married life and offers, at the same time, advices on how to use the most effective methods that can help people overcoming the difficult obstacles of a marital crisis and succeed in their marriage.

I have the honor to present it to the entire community, to the general public, religious or secular, to serve as a reference book for spouses seeking information on the appropriate method of resolving a marital crisis. Its use will be useful and beneficial to all. Whether you are religious or lay, this book is suitable for you all. May it serve as a beacon to enlighten the shipwrecked in the matrimonial point of view!

To God be the glory !

    Rev. Wilguymps CHARLES.

    INTRODUCTION

Family is the oldest, the biggest, the most noble and most important institution of all social institutions. However, marriage is the main framework for establishing the family structures of a society, and as we know it, Jehovah God, Himself, the Maker of the universe, was the officiant of the first marriage that took place between Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Man is, therefore, a social being and can only be fulfilled when he establishes personal relationships with others. The divine purpose in instituting marriage was to create a relational dimension. Therefore, family relationship is by nature a social relationship. However, no other institution is as influential as family. The Church, the school and the state can all make great contributions to society, but their progress will also be determined by the stability of families. So, the life from the home is a source that fuels the entire social order. That is why, when family is doing well, society benefits greatly from its stability.

Nevertheless, we have been bitterly witnessing, over the last few decades, an alarming decline in the value of this prestigious and honorable institution, which is marriage, and which gives rise to a high and accelerated rate of divorces. Never in history have marital separations reached such a grave level in such a short period of time. According to an article published by the Huffington Post, June 2, 2016, 44% of marriages in France ended in divorces. However, ruined marriages and broken homes should be important alarm bells for any nation, and a serious challenge to any wise political leader concerned for the well-being of his people and his country, because the mental, emotional and spiritual health of any society depends, unquestionably, on the stability of the home. Because all future generations will derive, above all, their value, their formation, their emotional and spiritual growth from their respective homes.

Couple conflicts often extend to other family members, because discontented parents often tend to neglect their children and expose them to the toxic influences of their relationship
