Three months ago...

"Talaaq...Talaaq...Talaaq."

A sob turning to a sniff, and finally, to a sigh accompanies these dooming words. On the far corner of the table, Attorney clears his throat and says.

"Just to make it clear to the princess’s family, too, I urge his royal highness to repeat the words in English."

Sheikh Khurram-bin-Akhtiyar gives his lawyer a dark look, and his mouth straightens. Beside him, his assistant averts his eyes from the touching scene. Sitting before them, on the other side of the table, princess Habiba-Qashid- Ahmak, wipes her eyes under the black veil and shivers. The room feels cold all of a sudden!

"Princess Habiba, I, Sheikh Khuram of Tehsil, at this moment releases you from our marriage vows. I divorce you, divorce you, divorce you!"

Jerking upright in her bed, with a steel glass rolling down the floor because of her sudden movement, princess Habiba- Qashid, no more adding Ahmak to her last name, stares at the pink wall before her, opens the cap of the water bottle, greedily devours the liquid down her throat and sighs.

Useless!

Completely useless to think about sleeping these days without experiencing the nightmare of her humiliating divorce...!

Will there ever come a day when she will be able to sleep in peace...? Probably not for now!

Getting up from her bed, looking at her tiny apartment and making it to the window side; sighing while looking at the road and thinking of all the reasons why her plans for tomorrow might fail, and why shouldn’t she just take a break from this roller-coaster known as life, she feels the moisture on her cheeks.

Geez, was she crying?

How long? How long will she remain in this condition? Is there no solution to this thing? Perhaps, she should re-join the gym tomorrow...

Shaking her head, while her feet carry her automatically to the kitchen for a caffeine fix; since sleep will come barely now, in another second, with a hot mug between her hands, she sits before her laptop, switches it on and makes it to the search engine and types the words...
