AUTHOR’S NOTE

This collection features the first web fiction serial I attempted compiled into e-book form, featuring the adventures of a private investigator named Myanna Moore. As such, the part divides are very uneven and there are some issues with pacing I am aware of. I'm just presenting it as is for those who may find it an easier read than the Tumblr site, or who otherwise do not want to read the story in that form. The only thing I did add to this collection content wise that does not appear online is a prologue to better set up Myanna's background before plunging into the story. One other difference from the site version is that the book releases will be referred to as Episodes and not Chapters to be consistent with other web serial fiction e-book compilation release patterns. Subsequent serialized fiction on the Myanna Moore Tumblr site uses the Episodes designation as well, so I used it here.

In terms of spelling and grammar fixes, there are a few. Also in the serial, it turned out that I kept misspelling Rhyann's name to what it is from her origin short story. It is corrected here as well.

Myanna originally appeared as the daughter of another character in an e-book series I started but did not complete in its original form. One reason involved marketing, as there is another author who works with a publisher I do a lot of work with who started releasing works under a very similar name, and I didn't want my self-published works to compete. More importantly, I chose to stop midway because I started to find more interest in the daughter character of the lead of those stories than in the lead character. The storyline I started will be re-released and incorporated likely as flashbacks in a bigger adventure where Myanna is the lead.

Also appended to this collection are three short stories I did in my combined short story and poetry anthologies that are actually part of Myanna Moore's world. A Hero Forged features her friend Davis when he was younger, along with Myanna's brother Micah. A Somewhat Magic Man highlights Firinne's half-sister Marva, while Showers fills readers in more on the background of a character featured prominently in this story named Ryhann.

I hope you enjoy this first glimpse into Myanna's world.
