AUTHOR’S NOTE

Previously, I experimented with a web serial format on Tumblr and released a set of stories under the heading DREAMER SHORES. Later, I collected those stories and added one never before released, and put them out as an electronic book for purchase. However, I left Breah’s story at a crossroads, meant to be picked back up at some point.

This novelette is meant to give conclusion for those people kind enough to give the DREAMER SHORES compilation a try. Thank you for making your own RETURN TO DREAMER SHORES. This novelette will provide the conclusion to those unanswered questions.

CHAPTER ONE

Valentine’s Day would be just around the corner, and Breah felt like her present would be giving birth any day now. In reality, there should be another month to go, but she’d retreated into food as well as physical pleasure to drown out the life she’d been running away from. At the moment, she felt torn between the affections of several men, none of them her child’s father. They’d given her permission to date freely to sort out her feelings.

One of her admirers, named Tidal, ran the surf shop on the beach where the housekeeper of the place she lived rented the apartment above. She’d go to the shop, he’d close up a bit, and the two of them would fool around. Tidal didn’t feel terribly grounded after his girlfriend left him several months ago and Breah – whom he’d nicknamed Nautica – helped him work through the pain. For Breah’s part, she couldn’t figure out why Tidal’s woman gave up such a great lover.

One particular day after leaving Tidal’s shop, Breah passed a young couple on the beach. The man of the pair was of bodybuilder proportions, a hunk of a Black man Breah immediately felt drawn to with his magnetic charisma. In contrast, the young woman with him stood much smaller, with fair skin that only made both her pregnant belly and large chest far more prominent, wearing a bikini that left little to anyone’s imagination; Breah guessed that the woman would be above average chest size even without a bun in the oven.
