    Did you read in USA Today that 20-30% of men and 30-50% of women say they have little or no sex drive?

    Psychology Today brought out that 25 percent of all Americans (a third of women and a fifth of men) suffer from a condition known as hypoactive sexual desire (HSD), which is defined as a persistent or recurring deficiency or absence of sexual fantasies or thoughts, or a lack of interest in sex or being sexual.

    Did you know that 10% of men worldwide have erectile dysfunction (ED)?

    Were you aware that erectile dysfunction is becoming more prevalent?

    Having a good sex life is part of what makes for a great relationship. It isn't the only thing, but it is an important part because it encourages a stronger bond of love between two people. This is especially important if you plan on spending a lifetime with an individual you really care about.

    Life spans are getting longer, and great sex should be experienced at any age. In fact, studies and surveys are indicating that those who are older, even up into the 90's, and have an active sex life are usually healthier. If you want to live into your 90's and more, you want it to be worthwhile. Healthier people, usually, have good sexual desire and function. Being able to reasonably satisfy that desire helps promote good health and that worthwhile feeling as well.

    So, how can you attain good health as well as great sex? By eating organic superfoods! Eating just any superfoods? No! There are specific superfoods that can make a difference in every aspect of your sex life. That is what this e-book is all about.

    INTRODUCTION

    Healthy people, in general, have healthy sex drives. It is part of our makeup as humans. It also ensures the continuation of our species.

    However, what seems to be happening worldwide is that sex drive and sexual performance are diminishing. This could be due to a number of factors: Stress; Lack of sleep; Illness; Medications; and Lifestyle, particularly diet.

    Although we can't address all of the reasons libido is decreasing and sexual performance is suffering, we can consider diet. Why? Because we are what we eat, and our food supplies may not be delivering what our bodies need to be healthy.

    More and more food worldwide is being massed produced, and we even have Genetically Modified (GMO) food as well. In fact, fertility rates have been going down for the past 60 years since our food supplies have been experimented upon. I don't know about you, but I don't want my food supply being messed with, especially when the results are questionable, and the long- term effects are unknown.

    Research shows that our food supplies have minerals, but if these minerals do not have carbon molecules attached, the minerals will not help us very much. Why not? Because we are carbon-based creatures, and our food supplies have to be carbon-based as well in order for our bodies to utilize these minerals. If minerals are not based on carbon, our bodies only use about 15% and store the rest in our bodies where they are not utilized and can cause health problems instead of making us healthier. (See the Introduction in Super Beans (Superfoods Series) for a detailed discussion of what constitutes organic.)

    If that's the case, what can we do about it? Purchasing organically grown foods and making sure part of those foods are superfoods can make a difference. Certain foods can help with libido and performance and may help with your problem as well.

    First, though, let's consider exactly what libido is. Having a thorough understanding of that will give you a starting point to learning what can be done about having a healthy sex drive and great sex in your relationship. Then we will look at what foods to avoid and what organic superfoods to add to your diet to help with desire, sexual energy, fertility, erectile function and great orgasms.

    WHAT IS LIBIDO?

    One dictionary defines libido as sexual desire or impulse: the instinctual craving or drive behind all human activities.

    Having a sex drive and being able to enjoy it isn't all there is to life, but it enhances life, especially between two people who love each other. Sex isn't just about procreation; it is about getting close to another human being in a physical way. This is very important because after the children are grown and leave the nest, a couple should be able to enjoy one another's companionship. They need to grow closer together mentally and emotionally, especially if they intend to spend the rest of their lives together. Having a great sex life can help with that bonding.

    Having sexual fantasies, thinking of sex several times a week and having sex 1-2 times per week seem to indicate a normal sex drive and part of libido. One can and should be able to experience this drive and feeling at any age. However, what is happening is that even younger men can experience a lowering of sex drive, as well as performance.

    In more mature individuals, performance does change. Men may find that it takes them a little longer to experience an erection, the erection may not be as firm, and they may not respond as fast as they did when they were younger. However, that doesn't have to be a problem. If the man can have an ejaculation, different circumstances because he is older can be an inducement to spend more time giving pleasure to his mate. She is past child bearing and doesn't experience possible anxiety of getting pregnant, so she could be much more responsive to special attention in the area of intimacy.

    If both are healthy, their sex life can be taken to a much higher level than before. There is no worry of a sick child interrupting
