They aren't bad kids. Alison would admit to her friends. Okay, Todd and Josh could be a handful, especially when it came around to their bedtime, but what kid did want to sleep? It was then that she would face evasion and a chorus of complaints and fibs, they were thirsty, they hadn't eaten supper, mum and dad always let them stay up past nine o'clock even if they had school the following day. Soon to follow would be the sulky sounds of it’s not fair.

Alison would laugh, she had heard it all before, in all honesty it wasn't really that long since she was saying the words herself.
