My blood ran hot when I read his name on the check in page. It was the last name I wanted to see, and the first name I expected to give me trouble. Nigel King, thorn in my side since the day I got this job when I turned eighteen. For three years, every visit he made to the Pinewood Estates Country Club and Resort turned my life into hell.

I had no idea what I’d done to piss him off so much. God, when I started at the country club as a waitress he was a dick to me then, too. I had no clue why, and I quickly learned to hate him for it.
