    Rockville - Heather Beck

I don’t care what you say, seventeen-year-old Calla Lily Milroy snapped. "I’ll never ever like it here."

    Stop complaining, Mrs. Milroy scolded.

No! Calla Lily cried. I want to go home. I refuse to live in Rockville.

I know this isn’t the ideal situation for any of us, Mrs. Milroy said rationally. But we have to make the best of things. James, you’ll find another job, perhaps an even better job than before. And Calla Lily, you’ll make new friends. When school starts in a few weeks you’ll meet a lot of people.

And you’ll find another book club, Calla Lily added, trying to be positive.
