‘Jack, Jack can you hear me?’ I spoke with worry and panic as I crouched down to where my boyfriend lay knocked out on the cold ground. ‘Jack please speak to me?’ I shook his shoulders hard in desperation to try to wake him. 

‘Susan...Susan, is that you?’ I felt relieved when I heard his voice come out all thick and drowsy.
