    Chapter 1

I could not believe my eyes, it was her! She was here all alone in the same bar that I was in. I had not expected such luck to be in close proximity to the woman I had become completely infatuated with after first crossing paths with her in the coffee shop just weeks before. Surely it was a definite sign, a justification for me to act?

Drowning out the noise of my group of tipsy friends I watched as she drank from her wine glass at a small table, she somehow looked out of place with her sombre expression, I wondered what she was thinking so hard about.

Unfortunately, her mood did not stop the wolves from advancing. I found myself automatically becoming both jealous and annoyed as I watched as a number of eager men tried their luck with her.
