Claire is lost at first but along the line, she finds work as a school's guidance counsellor (the school she enrolled her son in).

Claire has shut the world out, she believes that she can never fall in love anymore and that love had no place in her life again. Being a stunning woman, men did flock around her but after what she had been through, she swore that her heart was closed off...

Well, that was until she met Mr. Feccini, the dad of one of her students...Is Feccini for real as he claims to be or is she just one in his long list of women? Is she about to suffer yet another heartbreak?

Changes - Claire - Luis Martins

    Chapter 1

I am bounded by some imaginary shackles, I cannot move. From what I can see, I am seated on a chair and my hands and knees are bounded by some shackles I cannot see, literally. When I said they were imaginary, I was not joking.

I open my mouth to scream for help in the loudest voice I can muster but what the hell, no sound is coming out. Try as much as I may, I cannot utter anything, I cannot even make a sound. What is happening to me?! Where am I?

I struggle against the chair and just when I am about to go into full panic mode, I see Alex at a distance. He is laughing at me and pointing.

Oh lookie lookie.. Look who we have here, babe… he says in his condescending voice.

Babe? Did he just call me babe? What a son of a -… Oh wait, it wasn’t me.

I squint my eyes and I see a big-breasted blonde come into sight, she makes a beeline for Alex and they start to kiss like hungry lovers.

She looks me straight in the eyes and says, I have ruined your life you pathetic wench, now, you shall watch me make love to your man and you shall weep!

She starts to unbutton Alex’s shirt, all the while, kissing him hungrily. When she draws back for breath, I see that Alex’s face has changed, it is no longer Alex. Instead, it is my son. It is J.J. Oh God, what is happening?

I open my mouth to tell her to get her slutty hand away from my little boy but I feel myself falling, I am falling into a bottomless pit still shackled and bounded to the chair and what’s worse, I hear her laughter following me as I slide deeper and deeper into-

I gasp as I come awake, oh my goodness, it was a dream! It was just a horrible, horrible dream. I look at my bedside clock and it reads 3:47am. I know that I cannot sleep again, at least not until dawn fully breaks.

I groggily look around me, for a moment forgetting where I was. It finally dawns on me that I am in my bedroom, my new bedroom. Even after 3 days of staying in my new apartment, I can’t get used to it, I cannot get used to my new bedroom or kitchen or bathroom hell, I can’t even get used to this city.

It’s all new, Claire. Give it time, you just got here like three days ago, I tell myself.

I decide to get myself a glass of milk and probably read a book.

I slide my legs into my flip flops and head for the kitchen. On the way, I stop to check in on my son. J.J is sleeping peacefully. He is clutching his favourite Spiderman toy and he looks so adorable. I cannot resist the urge so, I gently tiptoe to his side and plant a big kiss on his forehead. He sighs adorably and snuggles deeper into his duvet. My heart aches for him, having to leave all his friends behind to start over again in a new city, but J.J is a sweet
