    Prologue: Sunday

    Jerry wasn’t looking forward to this trip. He knew he would have to get up at an ungodly hour in the morning to make it to the airport. Beyond that he was working with his boss, Tim and while he enjoyed his job normally, he really couldn’t stand Tim. It was just fine with him that Tim was based out of Boston and almost never came to Colorado to oversee Jerry’s territory.

    Jerry had come from a family of salespeople, and while by all accounts he was good at it, Jerry truly despised sales. He had made it his goal to at least do well enough not to get yelled at, and most months that was enough to earn his bonus. Tim however, always seemed to suspect that jerry could do more if he tried harder or followed the procedure better or something. To be honest Jerry himself suspected he could do better, but he had no interest in trying harder than he had to. If he did really well, then the expectations would be higher and he would have to work that much harder next time. Jerry wasn’t sure what this sudden Sales Meeting in Boston was, but he couldn’t imagine it was anything good.
