- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I had to come up with excuses to read this book, since it is essentially geriatric neurology for the masses, and the information it presented was very familiar. I justified reading it by thinking I could recommend it to patients, and indeed it would fit this role very well. The first chapters on aging brain and body function had some interesting material, but the later parts on neurological diseases were not very original, and read like patient handouts that I have written. The writing flowed well, though, and there were some good ideas on how to present the issues to the patient. I skimmed this book very quickly, finishing it in about 4 hours
